This book for FOREVER for the plot or excitement to get rolling and once it fianlly did get going, everything was rushed and things weren't explained. It seems the author forgot to explain the things that are in her head, thinking we already know what's going on. I'm on the fence about reading the rest of the books because I would like to figure out what the heck she was talking about. I would NEVER recomend this book to anyone!

I want to give it 4.5/5 but since I can't, I rounded up. There's a reason why the Fallen Series contains four novels, because the first book, Fallen, itself was a classic. I read this book within 3 days because it was so good that I can't put it down. Highly recommend reading it

so...at the beginning of the book it took a while before the plot developed...and that took a long time...until almost the end!!! so if you have patience then you might like this book. now, this book did not take the route that i would have thought it would have based on the synopsis...a good start to the story, waiting to get the next book to continue! worth reading? possibly

The book started off slower than I thought. Although the reading isn’t so bad. It does capture your attention enough to keep going, although I’m not sure what the huge hype over this book is. That’s not to say that I did not like it, I thought it was an all right read, but not something to wow over. It’s worth sticking by it and reading it through. I rather liked Luce. She’s got issues, but not enough to make her weepy or needy. She can stand up on her own (most of the time) although her mooning over Daniel was a little tedious. I couldn’t really see the chemistry going on between the two of them, even though Daniel was playing the hard to get game and being real nasty about it. Sure, he had reason to avoid Luce, but it would help to at least explain to her why that would be instead of blowing her off like an irritating bug. Even after I finished the book, I still didn’t really like Daniel. To me, he’s not even crush worthy material. Now Cam..on the other hand...yeeeahhhhhh *grinning* Like Luce, I thought Gabbe was the most annoying person ever. However, when you find out what she really is, it fits into place and you suddenly do a 360 and change your mind about her. Now although the pace of the book was slow, and the plot was slow to evolve, the reading wasn’t so bad. I rather liked following Luce around with Arriane and Penn (I took a liking to Penn she was such a great supporting character). The pace does pick up a bit after the first half of the novel and the mystery gets a little more interesting. The whole explanation on who Daniel really is (among others) was interesting and did take the story on to a new light. It felt like a reward for putting up with the slow pacing and well, I’d have to say the ending really did make up for it and convinced me to pursue this series further. Fallen might not be for everyone. The pacing of the plot may be slow and dry to some readers. Also there are just some parts that get a little out of hand when it comes to the cheesiness and romance. However, those that loved Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick should give this a try (however it might not be up to par). In my opinion, Daniel just could not be as great as Patch ;)

I will be honest I bought this book because I loved the cover. It’s dark, mysterious and beautiful and the story inside the beautiful cover does not disappoint. It’s a story with lots of twists and turns, gorgeous boys both good and evil, a love triangle, romance, best friends, mystery, action and a deep dark secret that is just waiting to be unlocked. The story begins when Luce, arrives at a new school under mysterious circumstances and meets a boy, Daniel. As soon as Luce lays eyes on Daniel who is instantly drawn to him and who she is sure she has met him before, but cannot figure out how she knows him or why she is drawn to him and completely in love with him from the first moment they lay eyes on each other. It’s a story of two people who are forever meant to be together, but unable to. Lifetime after lifetime they have found each other, fell in love, but tragically it ends. But for some unknown reason in this lifetime something has changed. I am not going to say much more as I do not want to give anything away. You will just have to read it for yourself. “There''s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori. Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price''s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. I had doubts about this book thinking it was only focused on the romance. There's more to "Fallen" though, other than the romance. The mystery behind the shadows and the reasons why Luce has been reincarnated... sure leaves me wanting to read more. I'm about half way through and I haven't been disappointed yet. This isn't a perfect novel. The characters are great and they sure pull through.

I saw the cover of this book and it looked extremely interesting. However, when I got to reading it, it didn't captivate me at all. It took me several days to read it. I was continually frustrated with Luce's woah is me attitude and her angst that she didn't have her cell phone of all things. The concept of the book was interesting but it fell short with it's application for lack of a better term. I might still pick up the sequel just to see where it goes but I won't be rushing out to get it

There was just something about this book that I did not like. Maybe it was the way the author wrote or maybe it was because i listened to it via audio book. However, I could not get into it and I don't plan on continuing the series in the near future. I found that it was mainly her complaining about how miserable she was at the school, how horrible the school was and how she had an unexplainable attraction to Daniel. All the action happened near the end of the novel.

Fallen reminded me of two other series that I have read. In my opinion if you mush Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick with The Immortal Series by Alyson Noel you get Fallen. Fallen was written beautifully and I really liked the concept. But for me it just didn’t have the wow factor that blew me away. I liked how each of the characters has some sort of problem that they had to deal with and how you never really knew which of Luce’s friends you should trust and dislike. Overall, I found the novel okay. For any fallen angel’s lover I’m sure this is one novel you would like to add to your collection. I didn't really enjoy this book. I found that it dragged on way to much. All the action was packed into the last couple chapters of the book. I did like the original story line with Luce, Daniel and Cam. I think the story was just focusing to much on the fact that she was in boarding school and how miserable she was and how much she missed her old life. The love story seemed to mature for their age. I am however going to read the second one to see if the story line picks up at all since I already bought it.
