Wow! Not what I expected. It was awful! Slow starting, at time didn't make sense and the ending was rushed! Reading the second book in the series, only because I had it already bought. Not going to bother with the rest.

I just finished reading this book, and I'm not sure if I loved it or hated it. While I was reading it, I felt terribly lost and confused the whole time. Then at the end you get some answers to your questions. But some are left unanswered, obviously to be uncovered in the next book. But what if I didnt want to read the next one? The development in the novel is minimal. There is a lot of short descriptions of what happens, almost like a play by play without the much needed descriptions for recreating the book in your mind while you read. As I say, I'm still on the fence on this series. I'll give it one more shot with the next book to see if the story line picks up...

This book is a really good book, so I'm not going to judge it based on how poorly the rest of the series was. "Fallen", by itself, is a great book for any teen who is going through a difficult time in their lives. It shows how even in the darkest of places, there is always some reason to keep fighting. But its not just that, yes it has a fairly slow start, but once you can read past it, the book comes to life. Now, onto the rest of the series. "Torment" and "Passion" are not some of my favourite books ever but I wouldn't called them bad books. This series is worth reading though because the finale book, "Rapture", stole my heart. I cry and dreamed with it. The first book is a nice easy read and if you can get past the some of the crappy slow parts in the middle, you should read it. If your looking for an amazing series that will always leave you wanting more, try the "Starcrossed" saga by Josephine Angelini or perhaps the "Divergent" trilogy. If you like angles, maybe the "Halo" trilogy is for you.

Fallen starts a bit slow, and to be honest I also put it down and moved onto another book. But I was curious, so I continued to read it. And I am very glad I did so. It may start very slowly, but it begins to capture your imagination without you even knowing it. Soon, you are trapped in a world of mystery and excitement, and it is impossible to put the book down.

Although the start of this book is a little bit slow keep with it, it eventually pulls you in and has you begging for more. Luce has something in her past that is eating away at her, something bad enough it has landed her in a reform school, but fate has to do whatever it takes to bring her to Daniel. This book is a great start to the series and keeps you guessing throughout the story wondering where it’s going to lead you and what Daniel is hiding. The connection between Daniel and Luce is wonderful a small part of you wants to cheer for Cam. The cliff hanger at the end had me moving on to book 2. This is a light read and perfect for a summer series for anyone looking for one.

I know a lot of people say that the beginning is a little confusing, but i thought that the author did an excellent job describing a world that her mind brilliantly created. When I finished it, I had to automatically run to the store to buy the next one! And 3 books later, I can't wait for the 4th one to come out! Beware: you are about to enter a world of angels and unimaginable beauty, love and magic.

The book starts off a little boring, confusing you might even say, as you don't understand the 'Trevor' incident yet, or what 'shadows' are. But the book excels as romance and mystery take over. Love triangles, secret love, and hidden identities are discovered while reading, although parts will get a little bit dry throughout chapters, Lauren Kate always knows how to hook the reader at the end to keep them going. I do recommend this book! Althoug for people who can't handle dry sections, try a more interesting series.

As other reviewers have said, the beginning of the book is a bit slow, and the frustration from this quickly changes. As soon as you hit about the middle of the book, you won't be able to put it down (as with most books), but you really will love the story. It's jam-packed with chivalry, declarations of love, and spine-tingling suspense. I loved this book, and I can't wait to read the sequels. I recommend this to anyone looking for a book that's a little bit different than the cooke-cutter romances I've been reading these days.

I found the beginning of the book boring. i wasn't excited about reading it and i had a hard time getting through chapters. Near the middle of the book and on the story really picked up and captivated my attention. I loved the ending. i thought the story was cute, but i think there could definitely be more romance and action going on between Danial and Luce. all in all an okayy read.

The beginning seemed a bit slow, and leaves you wondering what is going to happen. As you read further into the book though, everything starts falling into place and I wasn't able to put the book down. Highly romantic, a bit of a nail-biter, and a good teen read. I definitely recommend this book!
