About the Author

Jane Kurtz grew up in Ethiopia. She teaches children''s literature at the University of North Dakota and lives in Grand Forks.

E. B. Lewis''s work is shown in galleries throughout the United States and graces the pages of numerous picture books, including a 1999 Coretta Scott King Honor Illustrator winner, The Bat Boy and His Violin. He lives in New Jersey.
