free yourself to be yourself!

Excellent book! I recommend it for anyone who feels depressed or stressed out or knows someone who is. This is particularly if you are not even sure why! If you 'mentally beat yourself up' and wonder how to change self-defeating thought patterns, this is the book for you. This book helps you see how unfair we can be to ourselves and how we we can be our own worst enemy. This is an honest, logical and straight forward book with what seems like a well thought-out, balanced view. It is written with a casual style that treats you more like a friend than a dry text book simply giving the facts. It kind of gets within your thinking and you wonder if it was written personally for you and then you wonder how many look good on the 'outside' and how many feel like they may crumble on the 'inside'. A worthwhile read, if not for youself, maybe for someone you know.
Friends/Partners/Family Members of the Depressed

I recommend this book not only to depressed persons but to their friends/partners and/or family members who need help in dealing with someone who suffers from this devastating disease. When a situation occurred in a relationship with someone I was close to, who is a sufferer, I was not prepared, did not handle it well and the result was extremely hurtful. I felt terribly guilty and responsible. Consequently, I too became depressed due to our loss. I know this illness is not contagious, however, it felt like it was when I experienced his pain and suffering. I wanted to help but did not know how or where to turn for advice. Please read this book.
Depression-you need to work on it!

A book that makes you see you as you are. Seeing the inner thoughts that can cause us such pain. We all suffer from depression at one or more times in our life - for some it is so debilitating that life simply stops. In this place myself I found this book giving me control over something-my life! Phychiatrist recommended, this has become my bible. So many negative thoughts that restrict our lives - relationships, careers, families, financial decisions. Take it back - get your thoughts back on track. This book is invaluable and I recommend it to anyone who really wants to improve their lives and we can all improve.
