SOON TO BE A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE
Now available as a three-volume paperback boxed set, E L James’s New York Times #1 bestselling trilogy has been hailed by Entertainment Weekly as being “in a class by itself.” Beginning with the GoodReads Choice Award Romance Finalist Fifty Shades of Grey, the Fifty Shades Trilogy will obsess you, possess you, and stay with you forever.

This boxed set includes the following novels:

FIFTY SHADES OF GREY: When college student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating.  The unworldly Ana realizes she wants this man, and Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian’s secrets and explores her own desires.

FIFTY SHADES DARKER: Daunted by Christian’s dark secrets and singular tastes, Ana has broken off their relationship to start a new career. But desire for Christian still dominates her every waking thought. They rekindle their searing sensual affair, and while Christian wrestles with his inner demons, Ana is forced to make the most important decision of her life.

FIFTY SHADES FREED: Now, Ana and Christian have it all—love, passion, intimacy, wealth, and a world of possibilities for their future. But Ana knows that loving her Fifty Shades will not be easy, and that being together will pose challenges that neither of them would anticipate. Just when it seems that their strength together will eclipse any obstacle, misfortune, malice, and fate conspire to turn Ana’s deepest fears into reality.

This book is intended for mature audiences.

Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fifty Shades of Grey I have just started reading the first book last night. I must say that it is very similar to Sylvia Days series. It is almost like they have copied each other. I will be starting chapter three tonight. I want to get the whole series read before the movie comes out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hate it I was recommended by a friend of mines to read the book and after hearing all the grave reviews about it, it stirred up my curiosity and i went to by the series. In the beginning I thought it was hot and steamy, so that grabbed my attention for a bit. As i kept flipping the pages it became a mind numbing read, it was so boring and repetitive. It felt like i was reading a book written by an amateur, it's very poorly written. I can?t believe all the fuss about it. I just couldn't for the life in me muster anymore mental muscle to finish the third book. It's just sitting on my shelf collecting dust.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Haven't read anything so bad in a long time I was really disappointed with the trilogy. As I bought the box set, I forced myself to read through all three books. A couple pages into the first book, I found the level of writing to be around grade 5. I then read, in dismay, what seemed to be product placements for Audis and iPads. The sex scenes were actually kind of funny. The main characters were not believable and the secondary ones one-dimensional.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keep's you reading! Loved all three of the books... First one was very graphic and intense.. the other two were more subdued and had more of a story line to them. Cannot wait to see this on the big screen, but am wondering how they will be able to translate these books into real life without it being too explicit

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 50 Shades of OMG! OMG! All three books blew me away! I couldn't put them down! Believable characters! Must luv romance! This was a beautiful tale of healing, love and patience! I hate romance novels this book brought me back into the fold!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just ok After letting this sit for awhile and hearing mixed reviews, I finally picked up the series for some light summer reading. I'm stuck as to whether or not I'd recommend it to a friend. It was mindless reading which we all need from time to time, but I found I kept wanting something more from the books and not getting it. The writing was ok, but not good. The sex scenes were repetitive and apparently I need to find the apex of my thighs. In the 2nd book, there were some engaging storylines that captured me; however, they fizzled out into nothing spectacular. So I guess I'd recommend for some light entertainment but certainly not any great work of literature.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I don't get the hype While I was pleasantly surprised with the book, I wouldn't say it was good or anything even close. The hopeless romantic in me got sucked into the love story and kept reading simply to see them with their happy ending. The writing wasn't very good at all, everything seemed too over-the-top and the books were waaaaaay longer than they needed to be. The author kept going off on these detours with useless information that added absolutely nothing to the real story. Despite the sex and Dom/Sub relationship (which wasn't even that interesting and at times angering), I found Christian Grey's character intriguing and I really wanted to know more about him and what made him that way. My heart went out to him and I became his (and Anastasia's) cheerleader - wanting their messed up relationship to work and have some resemblance to a normal relationship! It was an easy enough read, and really wasn't all that bad, but it definitely wasn't amazing!

Rated out of 5 by from I kind of liked all three of them! staring with first books I was impressed, continuing to the second I've becomes deeply touched by the characters and continuing with the last part - I can definitely say that - finally I found my Nb.1 Book ever! It's not just the hot sexy part which is really great, but everything starting from the easy reading written style of book to the goddess role which I really liked coz it gives some specified touch of the book. I liked everyone involved in the story because of their roles in right place and time. I liked mentioning of Leila, Mrs Robertson, the security stuff, Taylor my favorite one, Charlie Tango the dear :) ... everything. I don't mind that this book has over 1000 pages that's even more amazing! I was trapped, like cursed all the time while my special travelling through the story. Great job the E L James did and please - this is my personal message to you: please never ever stop this writing please! beg you! such a touchy story I believe I won't find ever more after Fifty shades. please create new ones, new shades, stories you rock definitely!!!! You have my support! and Mr. Grey - well from 1-10?! well 10 million! ;)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Read I had heard all the hype around the first 50 Shades book and finally decided to read the series. I loved the story and the juicy details but I found the writing style to be a bit...amateur. Don't get me wrong, this is an amazing series and if you are looking for an easy read I would definitely start with this series. I just found that the book didn't challenge my reading ability and it seemed too simple and straight forward, which is great if that's what you are looking for. Overall it was a great read, I just wish the supporting characters had been a little more developed, it would have made for a more intense story.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing This book brought back the love of reading I had lost long ago. I'm glad I bought the trilogy because once one book was done I was ready to jump into the next. People think the books are just about sex but the love story is incredibly powerful. A MUST READ!!

Rated out of 5 by from I just finished the first book, and I really enjoyed it. It wasn't that dirty which is nice. I couldn't put it down. It definitely leaves you wondering what next. So far I am really enjoying these books.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of time What can I say that hasn't already been said? It is a poorly written series, so bad that I couldn't even get through the first book, let alone even open the sequels. Leave this one on the shelves and spend your money on something better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Trilogy I'll start off by saying that I'm a hetero male who normally only likes murder mysteries. A female friend, not my girlfriend, wouldn't shut up about the book, and so I decided to give Fifty Shades a shot. Though the erotic segments had a lot of details I really didn't need, I could not put the books down. I didn't want to finish Fifty Shades Freed as there is no more to read after that. I had intended to start another series of books as soon as I finished it, and instead found myself reading Fifty Shades again. Though I've read multiple books more than once, I've never immediately read a book a second time, not even when I read Dexter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fifty Shades of Crap!!! Complete waste of time! Very repetitive, lack of good language use. Main character is supposed to be a university litterature graduate and can barely use speech a 5 year old would be able to. Always the same things over and over again. Boring... If only the author could write this could have been a great book. Could also have used more in terms of backbone to the storyline. Could not finish the first book, I was becoming suicidal for even starting to read it.
Date published: 2012-12-24
Rated 3 out of 5 by from What's all the fuss about? If you really want a great read that will shock and titillate you, read Tiffany Reisz. In comparison, 50 shades is vanilla.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WORST TRILOGY EVER All of the comments and reviews bashing this set of books are absolutely correct. These books are poorly written trash! They really deserve a zero rating. Don't waste your time or your money!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Colour me Fifty Shades of WTF? Okay, so I've totally blown the old promise to start writing reviews again, but I just couldn't keep my mouth shut about Fifty Shades of Grey.....what is the big F'ing deal about these books? Obviously, the hype was started by someone who: A. Never saw the movie Pretty Woman (where Ana was a hooker, and Christian was a much older meglomaniac) and B. Never read erotic fiction before so got all a titter about the sex. Don't get me wrong, these books are entertaining.....fluff? Actually the word that really comes to mind is DRIVEL (and I was serious about the Pretty Woman comment. I can't believe that there isn't already news of a lawsuit...). I think Christian seriously needs a slap to the head, only he would probably enjoy it too much. The only reason he gets away with his over the top insecurities and bi(or maybe tri?)-polar tendencies is because he's rich. And don't get me started about Ana! OMG....wake up and smell the weak twinnings tea you idiot. Do you really want to live your life walking on eggshells? Mercurial gets old fast. Just like these books. Do yourself a favour and borrow these from a friend who already got suckered by the hype.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Borrow, Don't Buy That way you won't feel guilty that you wasted your money. Poorly written with a tendency to repeat favorite words & phrases. There should be many of these books gathering dust in your neighbor's homes. If you want to read an "unread" book, borrow the second or third book of the trilogy, it probably wasn't opened!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Save your money , hopefully the movie will be better I got this book d/t all the hype and i am thankful i was able to sell it. All three books were poorly written, and i found that i was skimming thru it, as nothing was pulling me in to read it. Even the "exotic" parts we very tame, and since it was so poorly written it was like watching those porns when the pizza guy arrives and the girl has no money. I kept hoping that the next book would be better but it wasn't. Besides the exotic aspect, the remainder of the books were very predictable.
Date published: 2012-10-11
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Worth All The Hype It was a good series. I read it because everywhere I turned someone was reading or talking about it. The story line is good and intertwined through the 3 books. The grammar however is annoying, something I couldnt read around. Everytime I went by a mistake I was irritable. Did no one edit this book? Not to mention, since when did we start calling the female body part by random names, it is what it is, let's be adult about it. This is a book about sex after all. Even kindergarten children call the part by what it is. Calling it "my sex" or any other random nickname distracts you from the overall flow of the novel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh my! What can one say about the Fifty Shades trilogy… enthralling, addictive, mesmerizing to the last page! Evidently, it’s not fine literature like Austen or James, but who really cares. It’s quite entertaining material despite the quality of writing, the repetitions and the use of British slang by Ana Steele that she would probably never utter considering she’s American. Christian Grey is a sexy “bad boy”, yet such a complex & tormented soul… totally enigmatic and alluring!!! Do yourselves a favor, forget the mixed reviews and read them. You won’t regret it! P.S.: Let’s just hope that the statements on the web are true and we’ll be soon reading a fourth installment to the already popular series of books. Laters!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVED IT! The start and the end were not that exciting, though my favorite was the second book it made the most sense of most things that were going on. i would tell anyone that is going to read these books that to keep an open mind don't listen to what you hear make your own decision about it these books are you'll totally love or hate them, but yes very poorly written

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Still not read the 3rd one There was so much hype about these books that I really wanted to read them. The first book, not too bad but very poorly written. Picked up the 2nd book and it took me over a week to read it because it was so bad, at least the first half was. I haven't even picked up the 3rd one because I don't have the energy to read the many times the author will write "My Fifty Shades"! So very disappointed!

Rated out of 5 by from Loving this series....I have not read a trilogy so fast, can't seem to put the book down, now reading the last book and loving it, I sure hope there is a fourth book, and CANT WAIT FOR THE MOVIE!!!! I highly recommend these books !!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Entertaining These books were pretty good, I agree that they didn't quite live up to the hype. I was always expecting something really dramatic to happen....never did. The sex scenes were not the greatest but I suppose the book is written from the point of view of a inexperienced young woman.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful These books are just terrible, the storyline is alright but they are poorly written. Perhaps a good mindless summer read but nothing more. Doesn't live up to the hype.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A-MAZ-ING! I purchased this series, and finished it in 1 week. I LOVED IT - I didn't wanna finish the last book because I knew I'd miss reading them!! You will fall in love with Christian Grey!! Read these books!! :)

Rated out of 5 by from Wow -book 4 someone said - can't wait - this was an easy read that drew you in from page 1 to the last page in the 3rd book. Great books not only due to the very raw steamy scenes but every page was well thought out and planned. I highly recommend but not for the faint of heart LOL
Date published: 2012-08-31
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just Okay.... I don't really know what to say about this series of books other than, it was just okay. There are some people who would probably really love the books, however, it really wasn't my cup of tea. The only reason I even read all three of these books is because I bought them, otherwise, I would have not bothered. So a word of advice to those of you that are reading this.......don't buy the books, borrow them from a friend...not worth the money!!!
Date published: 2012-08-30
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not my cup of tea While I completely understand some people's attraction to this series...romance, sex, etc. It was not something I could personally enjoy and I am an avid reader. I had heard the hype and decided to buy it but my fault for not researching it a little better. I can't comment on the character development or the plot since I didn't even finish the first book but regardless of the character development, plot, etc (be it good or bad) I really do not need to read porn. Its frivolous, irresponsible and unnecessary. If you need to fill page upon page with "steamy" ultra-descriptive sex then in my opinion you are not that talented of a writer, you are just experienced.
Date published: 2012-08-27
Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's Okay... First tie in my life I don't read a book in 1 day. Got the books almost 1 month ago, and still haven't got to the half of the third one. I don't really like the books, too much sex scenes (and details) for me. The only reason I keep reading is because of the storyline, it's not great, but it's not that bad.
Date published: 2012-08-27
Rated out of 5 by from I want book 4! I have already read all three books two times.
Date published: 2012-08-27
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't fall for the hype! Bought the trilogy and finished reading all of them within a few weeks. Very quick read, but by the second book, I found myself skimming through the sex scenes to find some real meat in the story. This book should be classified as "romantic fantasy" as much if it was fairly unrealistic - most women who have ever had heterosexual sex know what I'm talking about! If lights-out, missionary-style, silent, 2-pumps-and-you"re-done sex is what you're used to - then you will find this book FANTASTIC!
Date published: 2012-08-23
Rated 1 out of 5 by from BOOK WAS A WASTE OF TIME!!! Total piece of S**T I DONT KNOW WHAT THE HYPE WAS ALL ABOUT!! SERIOULSY JUST LIKE ANY REALITY TV..THE MEDIA WILL MAKE ANYTHING LOOK LIKE MILLION DOLLARS THESE DAYS... THE IDEA OF THE STORY IS INTERESTING, BUT MANN OH MAN THE WRITING IS PIECE OF CRAP. I DONT KNOW HOW I GOT UPTO 158 PAGES BY FORCING MYSELF TO READ AND SEE IF THINGS WILL GET BETTER. LIKE SERIOUSLY FANFICTION HAVE BETTER WRITERS THAN HER..DONT KNOW WHO DECIDED TO PUBLISH HER. COULD NOT GET A CLEAR PICTURE OF THE CHARACTERS IN THE BOOK, WORST SEX SCENES OF ALL TIME, DIDNT SET THE MOOD FOR ANYTHING. OH BTW THIS IS NOTHING LIKE TWILIGHT, I WUD CALL THIS A MANUAL FOR THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY THAT WE ALL SHUD HAVE. YEH I REGRET GETTING THE SET AND NOW I CANT EVEN RETURN IT.

Rated out of 5 by from I have bought Fifty Shades Trilogy and can't seem to put them down. I don't want it to end either. I'm not sure if E.L James will wright anymore about Fifty Shades but if there is every any more I will have to buy them. I just got through the first book and am now on the second... its not taking long to read them because like I said before I don't want to put them down. I know I will have to read them over and over again they are that good. .... Thank you E.L James for Fifty Shades

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Has potential but needs polishing I decided to to pick this trilogy up to see what all the hubbub was about. I found myself picking at the flaws in writing and the weak plot points but oddly I couldn't put it down. The writing itself was mediocre with some cheesy lines that I thought sounded a little juvenile. There were points in the novels that I swore the author found a new word in the thesaurus and couldn't help but use it often in that day's writing. Having said that though, despite the soap opera-ish plot lines, I found myself drawn to the characters and I wanted to know what would become of them in the end. The first book has little or no real plot and relies heavily on the other two to get a bit more of a story and less of just a situation. I think that had this book been worked over a few more times that it could have felt more like the story it was destined to be. If you need an easy read and aren't disturbed by the subject matter then it might be worth a gander but definitely not what the hype makes it out to be.

Rated out of 5 by from I loved these novels, I loved the storyline and how it kept you wanting to continue reading. I had a hard time putting the books down and pushed to continue reading. I read all three books inside of 1 week. Amazing story and completely erotic. Hope the rumours of a movie are true would be fantastic to see.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW!!! So Not what I was expecting this trilogy to be!!! The first book was a little hard to get into but then I couldn't put it down. From then on these books just reach out and grab you! The characters seem so real and the storyline is suspenseful, playful, intense, retrospective and yes STEAMY!!! all in all I really enjoyed reading this trilogy. I'd also reccomend it to someone else to read in a heartbeat.

Rated out of 5 by from Loved the books, read all 3 in a week & a half, couldn't put them down. Have passed them around to family & friends & can't wait to get them back so I can reread them. Love the extent that she goes to in her descriptions & would really like to see a book 4 come out.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just...okay Was this written in the hope that it would be made into a movie or television show? If that is the case, then well done. As a novel/trilogy, it falls short. It is not written terribly well and lacks character development and depth. After reading the first two, I wasn't really itching to read the third. It is somewhat predictable and not nearly as edgy as I was led to believe. I actually skipped over some paragraphs here and there (the repeated declarations of love and bonding..blah blah..they just read the same). Where she tried to ratchet up the plot, it was just kind of mediocre. I never found myself in the position where i could not put the book down. All of this being said, they are decent beach books - easy reading and do not really require too much attention. It really falls into the current mindset of entertainment, with a little twist. instead of a vampire, write about a dom. Cast Ian Somerhalder as Mr. Grey and all the girls (young and old) will flock to the theatre.

Rated out of 5 by from I reallly enjoyed it a lot.. I am reading the 3 books , for the third time and i am totally addicted to classical music...LOL I am reading it while i listen to classical music.... I love her style of writing it very descirptive.. The way she describes Christian Grey and Anastasia Steel and the love scences it is amazing... I DEFINATELY recommend to buy the trilogy..it is worth reading... :-)

Rated out of 5 by from Its a Harlequin romance on steroids...a little too ridiculous and predictable...young, innocent, beautiful, thin virgin meets and is seduced by young, rich, handsome, brooding stranger with a tragic past...the sex scenes are impressive but by the middle of the 2nd book i was getting bored...maybe its because I'm over 40..it would have been nice to read the same story except substitute the characters for older people trying to start their lives over and rediscover trust and love again...just my thoughts I guess..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Twilight Serries = Fifty Shades Trilogy .....SPOILER ALERT!! In case you haven't already guessed what my thoughts are on this trilogy......these books are so similar to the twilight serries it is frightening! There is a young man that is wise for his years, wealthy, intimadating but strikingly handsome and has a dark secret (ok no he is not immortal and does not drink blood but wow talk about kinky!) who falls for a shy clumbsy brunette with little experience when it comes to the opposite sex. He warns her to stay away and yet even when she discovers his dark secret, she finds herself drawn to him as though there is an electric charge. The shy brunette can't understand this amazing man's devotion to her as almost every woman seems to want him yet he is equally drawn to her.......(are you seeing any similarities here?) there are those who try to kill him, those who threaten her and low and behold she ends up pregnant and he is not ready.....heck throw in a gorgeous blonde ex who feels she should be with him ( hmmm....gorgeous blonde vamp....oh nope sorry that was from the twilight books...) and add a happy ending where no one dies and all is right with the world. As I said VERY similar to the Twilight serries but I don't care, I LOVED these books!!! If you enjoyed twilight I am certain you will enjoy this trilogy and once again feel that ache of despair when you've finished the last book.

Rated out of 5 by from This was by far one of the most intriguing book series i have read to date. Not only did she know how to keep the plot going but had the eroticism sizzling. I finished all 3 books in about a week. I couldn't stop or put it down. I know alot of people related to Christian and Anastasia's story and i am waiting for the movie to be launched. I am also hoping the rumors are true and that we get a series portraying the story from Christian's point of view. Definately recommend this series to one and all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great summer read Don't be fooled by the poor reviews - this book is a great light summer read that takes you back to those passionate first love encounters. This is a story of love and lust where two people meet, fall deeply and unconditionally in love and overcome the trials and tribulations of the childhood of a troubled and lost HOT twenty-something billionaire. I loved it - easy read and great read for those who just want to enjoy a good love story.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why all the Rave Reviews?? I am not sure why this book receives rave reviews. It is written at a grade five reading level, has poor character development and a very shallow plot. It is a soft porn book not a work of literature. You would be better off reading a harlequin romance which you can pick-up at a thrift store for 50 cents.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly good! I purchased these books because of all the hype they have recently received. I wasn't expecting much but I was very pleasantly surprised. I was captivated by the characters and their love story. The Christian Grey character is very complex. The struggle between Ana's "inner goddess" and subconscious was hilarious. Yes, there is lots of sex. Fans of Shayla Black or Lora Leigh, however, will not be shocked. This trilogy is way more than just erotica. At its heart this is a romance more than anything. It's definitely worth the hype! I highly recommend it.

Rated out of 5 by from I will give the books this much : The storyline itself is intriguing. The writing, however, leaves a lot to be desired. If you are an avid reader and enjoy a well-written book, don't even bother picking this up. I was interested to see how the story turned out, so I kept reading, but by the time I finished all three books, I never wanted to see them again. I have never been so happy to finish a book before. It is horribly written. With some extensive editing, it could be such a good story. As it is, however, it should have never seen a bookshelf. It started as fanfiction, and it should have stayed on the internet. I am ashamed to admit that I payed money for this garbage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shocking Hmm... Fifty Shades. As a whole I enjoyed this series. If you heard that it's soft porn; thats true but at least it has a good story to go with it. Throughout several parts of the series I blushed, laughed out loud and was shocked. The first book was captivating but not my fav. The second book blossemed the relationship between the main characters and was likely my fav. The third book also a great read and I loved it but wanted more from the end. Still a great read. .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Way Over Rated Do to the hype I purchased all three. I just started the third and have no problem leaving it for days at a time (typically I have trouble putting a good book down). There is very little romance or suspense - mostly way too much over described rough sex. I would not recommend this trilogy - it is disturbing. The only amazing thing about these books is the authors ability to come out of no where and get the positive hype that she has. There are way better authors to put spend your money on.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Can this be dragged out any further? The first book was .... interesting, entertaining, intriguing even. But James tries to go from soft porn / romance to suspense, and doesn't have a clue how to make it close to believable. And the third book -- OMG how many times do you have to read "I love you too". total schlock. If she had wrapped it all up in one novel, it would have been great, but three? seriously. Don't waste your time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING! WOW, such an amazing ending to a very different, yet suspenseful trilogy! The Fifty Shades trilogy is definitely one of my favourite and I will read it again one day soon! Christian Grey sounds like a complete bombshell and I would KILL to be Ana! She's one lucky girl! ;) Overall, these books were a pleasure to read and I loved every bit of them :) I want my own Fifty Shades 3

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Curiosity Killed the Cat, but woke my Inner Goddess... After hearing enough of "have you read Fifty Shades? No? Oh you have to!" I succumbed to adult peer pressure and bought Fifty Shades of Grey. This was my first iBook purchase (I prefer real books that come from trees) because there was no way I was walking into a bookstore for this bad-boy (pun intended). So I began reading it on my handy-dandy iPad and I am ashamed to admit that even with the sub-par writing, I was hooked... I felt that 'Grey' was a teaser and therefore really lacked in plot development. However this being a trilogy, I guess I can forgive that in hopes that further development was awaiting in 'Darker' and 'Freed'. The character development was only OK as well. Honestly, the further I read, the more I felt that I was in another 'Twilight' saga only instead of vampires and werewolves there were whips, chains and floggers. But again, I reluctantly admit, the ending of 'Grey' made me purchase 'Darker' immediately… 'Darker' did indeed provide more in character and plot development. Unfortunately by this point, the naughty scenes were becoming repetitive and even, heaven forbid…boring! When one starts yawning at yet another flogging scene, you know it's overdone. My attention span was hanging by a thin thread through the second book. I even considered calling it quits at this point! And I did…for 2 days and finally my 'inner goddess' and her curiosity gave in and I purchased 'Freed'. I have to say that 'Freed' was interesting and in my opinion, the best of the three. The title is apt to the plot, and I actually sighed in relief when Christian finally started to open up. Although I somewhat enjoyed 'Freed', I felt that the ending was disjointed and fast…as though James had had enough of writing the darn book and wanted to get onto something else. I was disappointed! What did peak my interest was the past the Epilogue. James teases us by starting from the beginning, but this time with Christians point-of-view! This I would read…in a heart beat. Ana did not appeal to me as much as Christian did…and not because of his kinkiness and good looks, but because of the life he lived until that point. Now THAT would be an interesting read!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best romance I've read in a while! 50 Shades of Grey was the best book I have had my hands on in a while. I read the book in a weekend and have ordered the next 2, impatiently waiting! The obsession, control, love its just all so very attention getting! Removing anything naughty, it is love story beyond love stories

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fantastic read Fifty Shades is a beautiful love story about trust and redemption. An absolute must read for all women who believe in love. I couldn't put it down, in fact, I read all 3 books in 2 days and would definitely read it again. Even if you take out the naughty bits it is still a lovely story about developing trust, overcoming the past and moving forward. I highly recommend these books.... but buy them all because each one leaves you wanting more.
