    Useful and Pleasant to Read

This book was recommended to me as I prepared for a new career after years of managing our own business. It helped me plan and put things into perspective. It is a good tool for a new manager, or someone experienced assessing a new situation, which often means change management as well. Lots of real life examples, very easy to follow and pick out which parts you need.

The first 90 days is an excellent guide for new and seasoned managers in assisting with transitions in their careers. I found the book well written, clear and very practical. Michael Watkins provides realistic examples, insights and tools to help guide your thinking. I found the book to help focus your thinking to ready you going a new transition where you are very quickly overwhelmed with information and issues. The first 90 days definitely provides you with a hands on game plan to see the “forest from the trees” very quickly!
