Flowers From The Storm

by L Kinsale

HARPERCOLLINS PUBLISHERS | May 8, 2003 | Mass Market Paperbound

The Duke of Jervaulx was brilliant and dangerous. Considered dissolute, reckless, and extravagant, he was transparently referred to as the 'D of J' in scandal sheets, where he and his various exploits featured with frequency. But sometimes the most womanising rake can be irresistible, and even his most casual attentions fascinated the sheltered Maddy Timms, quiet daughter of a simple mathematician.

I picked up this novel recently, after doing a search for "best romance novels" and was presently surprised by how much I loved this book. It took me a couple of times to get into it, because of Maddy's Quaker "Plain Speech" (thee, thou), but it turned out to be such a good book that I'm glad I kept plugging through (it's not so bad, just threw me off a bit)! I definitely recommend this book.
