I read this book for a novel study at school and it was amazing. After I started I couldn't put it down!!!

This was one of the most amazing books I've ever read. I felt like I was seeing through the lens' that Alex and Ted were seeing through. So much happening. A few entries in it was like I was sucked into this vortex and couldn't stop reading. The book was practically glued to my hands. It made me think of all the things happening around the world, and that there was life outside of this half of the world and their problems. Comming from me, this means alot because I hardly find intrest in books that don't involve some type of mythical being. It was amazing. Took my breath away. I could feel every pain Alex did. I acctually couldn't feel my hand for a good half and hour after I read one part. I got shivers, shed tears, and went through every emotion possible while reading this. By the way, if you read this expecting a summary of the novel, think again. Nope, this story was so good that you should read it for yourself. And I promise you will not be sorry.

I first read this book in grade nine for a year end project and absolutely loved it. The plot is incredible, and although a little slow in the beginning, it picks up quite nicely. Besides, if the plot weren't intially slow, the characters wouldn't have been nearly as nicely developed as they are. Beyond the plot, this book is a favourite of mine, because of the human rights issue it sheads light on. In all, I'd recomend this book to all as it tells a fantasic story that, even fours years later, I still love.

This book was amazing to read. Full of excitment and suspence. Truly one of the best books I have ever read in my life. I would recommend this book to anyone.

This book is quite interesting once you get right into it. At the beginning, things might be a little boring and it might seem as if nothing is happening, but the fun all starts when Alexander Jackson is invited with his father to Beijing. There are a fairly amount of excitement and suspense in this book, mainly about people getting killed in Tian Men Square, people losing their children, familys giving up each other, et cetera. Overall, it is a great book that describes well of what happened in Tian Men Square long ago, in a few hundred of pages.

This book has got to be the best out of the other novel studies I had read. It's a real page turner as well as a tear jerker. But I won't let that part spoil you. You need to read it yourself.

This book is one of the best books I've ever read! You seriously will have NO luck putting it down. The first couple of chapters may not be that good but if you keep on reading the story gets very interesting!

I thought the book was a really good read. When I read the back, it seemed really cheasy and I thought Great, another bad book . A couple chapters in, I foud out it was an amazing book. I could not put it down. My friends thought I was crazy, but it's a really exciting book. Bell did a great job!

When i frist started to read this book i asked my self if it was going to get any better and on the next page the story was improving! this book was a thrill seeker and I would recommened it to anybody who loves to read. also good luck trying to put this book down it is really hard to do!

This is a wonderful, and wet as water book. I first geard this book,in class, for novel study. It was such an inspiration, and braveness and spirit, I had no choice, but to give it one full mark. It's about a boy, named Alex, who journys to China, as a reporter to find out about the Student Revolt. Soon, he is in great danger, army men are allover the place, and he must find his father, before something horrible happens to him. He is being helped by many new friends, but many people had to die. This is a really sad story, but a very worthwhile read!!!
