Professor Gabriel Emerson has embarked on a passionate, yet clandestine affair with his former student, Julia Mitchell. Sequestered on a romantic holiday in Italy, he tutors her in the sensual delights of the body and the raptures of sex. But when they return, their happiness is threatened by conspiring students, academic politics, and a jealous ex-lover. When Gabriel is confronted by the university administration, will he succumb to Dante''s fate? Or will he fight to keep Julia, his Beatrice, forever? In Gabriel''s Rapture, the brilliant sequel to the wildly successful debut novel, Gabriel''s Inferno, Sylvain Reynard weaves an exquisite love story that will touch the reader''s mind, body, and soul, forever.

    Brilliant Follow Up

Accolades should go to author Reynard for this follow up to Gabriel's Inferno. His characters are profoundly written and both their emotional and spiritual growth can't be rivaled by any current book that has been published. Articles recently state that sex is what is selling in books, well then turn away from this novel, because if you just want empty sex, you will be disappointed for this is a LOVE story. Written by an author who should be teaching literature to more high profile published ones, for his prose and imagery are masterful. Below this box as I write this review it ask to recommend similar titles, there are no similar titles for this novel stands as a piece of literature among mere books. Someday if we are lucky everyone will know Sylvain Reynard's name as one of the literary greats.
