Having had the honour of meeting this man as he was passing (flying) though Woodstock, NB, I have to say that he has an incredible aura of strength about him. He has transferred that strength into the beautiful photographs and you cannot help but be amazed over and over by it. Some of the pictures are down right unbelievable... bearing seemingly no resemblance to their earth bound subjects. His unique perspective in both life and photography have made this book an absoulutely stunning depiction of our amazing country.

This book is an outstanding celebration of Canada. The incredible pictures of Carl Hieberts cross country flight in an open Ultralight Airplane are awe inspiring. His real life story, about a accident that left him in a wheelchair and his immense will-power and courage to overcome obstacles are a joy to read.

Author Carl Hiebert traded his wheelchair for an Ultralight and set for an epic 5000 miles journey across Canada - twice. Out of 14 000 pictures taken, 141 were selected for this very special book. It is probably one of the most visually appealing and creative work of aerial photography ever made. Moreover, it has a soul of its own. Be prepared to be surprised, delighted and lifted by this Gift of Wings.
