Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

by Stieg Larsson

Penguin Group Canada | July 5, 2011 | Trade Paperback

Forty years ago, Harriet Vanger disappeared off the secluded island owned and inhabited by the powerful Vanger family. There was no corpse, no witnesses, no evidence. But her uncle, Henrik, is convinced that she was murdered by someone from her own deeply dysfunctional family. Disgraced journalist Mikael Blomkvist is hired to investigate, but he quickly finds himself in over his head. He hires a competent assistant: the gifted and conscience-free computer specialist Lisbeth Salander, and the two unravel a dark and appalling family history. But the Vangers are a secretive clan, and Blomkvist and Salander are about to find out just how far they are prepared to go to protect themselves.

    Fantastic!

Even though the begining was very slow, gradually as we read the book, it became interesting and more captivating. The story takes us literally like we were in the book. We can follow a publisher, Mikael Blomkvist and a young girl, Lisbeth Salander, a pro in hacking, who are trying to solve a mysterious crime that happened 36 years before. I really liked this novel and the trilogy in general. I read all the books in one week because I couldn't stop reading it. It was so fascinating and I always wanted to know what's going to happen next. I trully recommend this book to everyone who likes thrillers, I bet you'll like it like I did.

At the beginning of this book it is very boring, but it help explain the characters lives. Also they through alot of names and details at you and you get confused, but by the 3 & 4 chapter the story picks up and you can't stop reading it. I recommend this to any one who loves to read. This is a well written book.
