This was always one of my favourites as a child - I loved the grand finale of "The Dog Party"! I have recently started reading it with my three year old son and he loves it too.

As a parent, I definitely think this a great introduction to opposites, colours and basic reading. From mother to son to grandson? I can only hope!

My 3 year old is in love!

Okay, it is a good book, and a classic. I remember this one when I was a kid. But, my daughters love for this is something else! This is a definate bedtime request, and although we have to read every page, she has to make up a story for each picture, on each page. Her imagination is soaring, and likely much due to this book.

My pre-schooler loves this book. She loves it so much she reads it to us. This is a must have for any parent.

This book is a great first timer book. My child got such confidence by being able to read me a bedtime story. It is good to see her enjoy reading and now we can go on to other books with that confidence.
