This debut novel from Marie Phillips is a great summer read. Light but with substance, covering genres of adventure, romance, humour and drama. As I was reading the book, I couldn't help but think how fantastic this novel would be on the big screen (quite along the lines of Princess Bride or Stardust?).
The godly characters are as sharp as Eros's arrow and as bright as Apollo's sun, yet mortally plain and insecure as time has worn them out. You will adore Greek mythology once again as these Greek gods' mischief powers such great fiction!
