I love Julie Kenner. The Givenchy Code series and Carpe Demon series are awesome. This is her first attempt at a teen novel and it was quite good. Beth gets turned into a vampire. But since she didn't drink from a human host (only bagged hospital blood for her) she has a chance at getting her life back - if she can kill the evil football player who turned her. The only drawback to this novel was the slow start. It took about a third of the book to get everything set up and to explain vampires to us. It took Beth half the book to figure out vampire's use glamour on people! But the last half is awesome and the ending makes you glad the next one is already written. Very good clean fun and especially appropriate for someone just getting into the vamp fun.
