I read these books many years ago, and I'm really wishing I had not given them away. These books are fantastic! A beautiful story about children who are sent away to Canada, for safety during the war. As "Guests of War", the children must cope with being away from their families, being with people they have never met before, and adjusting to new customs. Each book tells the story of the two children as they grow, the new challenges they face, and hearbreaking events over their lives.
I highly recommend to any Kit Pearson fan, or anyone age 9-12 +
