Regis has been captured by Artemis along with the panther figurine that allows Drizzit to call forth his long time companion Guenhwyvar. Bruenor is gone and Catti-brie and Wulfgar must make their way south following the trail of Artemis in the hopes of saving their friends. A great read worth every penny. P.s. if you enjoyed this series you may want to try the books by elaine cunningham.

Read this years ago and it still pleases. This author knows how to write. he sucks you into the story and is reluctant to release you. Be warned, to buy this book is to sacrifice sleep for you'll not be able to put it down.

**A book I would also recommend is The Unsuspecting Mage by Brian S. Pratt. This, the first installment of The Morcyth Saga is a great beginning for a new author. Battles, magic, gods, secret passages and intrigue, all the elements of a classic epic fantasy! Any fantasy reader will enjoy it.

The assasin Artemis Entreri has kidnapped Regis and put him in the hands of Pasha Pook. Now Drizzt and his friends must go south to Calimport to rescue their small friend. Travel with the drow ranger aboard the famed Sea Sprite to battle pirates, through the deserts of Calimshan and finally into the dangerous streets of Calimport. The Hafling's Gem is a gripping tale of adventure, rescue and greed that is sure to keep readers on the edge of their seats until the end. The Hafling's Gem is the third and last book of the epic Icewind Dale Trilogy.
