This book was really enjoyable and I read it on my road trip to Manatulin Island. I found this book a little sad for Harriet and her friends.

I would recommend this book to any child who seeks adventure, fun, and who is a slight outsider even as they will relate very well with Harriet. Like her notebook, the reader will follow Harriet wherever she goes, observing as she does. In a nutshell, this book is about a nosy little girl who writes about other people and how it backfires when she loses her best friends. It is recommeded for girls especially to teach the moral of how gossip and rumours should be minimized.
