At the time that this review is being written the item is titled Harry Potter, Volumes 1-7, Children's Cloth Editions, Box Set. I would like to inform you all that this is the hardcover box set and not the cloth covered box set - I placed the order for this set and received the hardcover set. Similar mistakes of using the word cloth have been made for other Harry Potter books and while some of them under trade do state Hardcover (as opposed to cloth on the title) others such as this item don't. Hopefully, this mistake is corrected soon and others are not affected by this mistake like I was.

By cloth they mean cover design. I think you were looking for paperback vs. hardcover.

you just cant go wrong with the entire collection, from book one you'll instantly fall in love with harry and want to continue the journey with him throughout his trials/tribulations at Hogwarts. A keepsake for future generations. Forget the bedtime stores of teddybears, the generation of Wizards is the way to go.

Harry Potter (every book) is a fairly good series. I liked it. The magic, the scenery, the characters..great. However, I have found that many of the ideas in H.P are taken from another book and twisted a bit. Let me give you some examples:
Aragog the Spider= Shelob (Lord of the Rings)
Dumbledore = Dumbledor (a type of bird in LOTR)
Forbidden Forest = Fangorn Forest (LOTR)
Can you see the resemblance here? I could go on with other books, but Harry Potter is pretty goo, so I don't want to bash it too bad.

While I concede that the Shelob/Aragog thing, I'm afraid I must argue the other two points. Fist, Dumbledor is the old English word for "bumblebee ", so that point is moot. As for Fangorn forest, I think you're reaching a bit there. Lots of stories have forests. Tolkien was not the first to have a forest, and JK will certainly not be the last. I think you're looking to hard for comparisons. Just take a step back and take a look at Harry Potter in it's own right.

this series has been with me since i was in the third grade. and now i'm in ninth grade!!! i've luved every word that J.K Rowling has put down in the pages of these books. i seriously think and know that others will agree with me that the Harry Potter series is responsible for the literacy of this generation of children. my only hope is that J.K will continue soon with other book becuase if they are even half of wat Harry Potter was in quality, i know it will be amazing.... but c'mon i cant be the only 1 out there that would luv sum sort of follow up 8th book?? ;)

I just received this set today and it arrived three days after ordering online so I am very impressed with that! The set looks exactly as advertised and was very well packaged for shipping.

I bought this book set for myself because I haven't read any of the books yet so having the ability to buy all seven appealed to me. This set would make a great gift for the holidays or any occasion for that matter. I can't wait to start reading these!

I have been a Harry Potter Fan since the first time I watched the first movie. I was not as interested in the books as I was for the movies but when I read The Goblet of Fire, that lead me into wanting the books as well!
I am so excited to be getting the full set, even if I do have to wait for a long period, but it will be worth it!
i wish it did not end at only seven books, she needs to keep the story going:)
