The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies Of The Apocalypse

by Robert Rankin

ORION PUBLISHING GROUP | August 1, 2003 | Mass Market Paperbound

Toy Town...now older, bigger, and certainly not wiser. The Old Rich, who have made their millions from the royalties on their world-famous nursery rhymes, are being murdered. One by one. Horribly. A psychopath is on the loose. He must be stopped at any cost. It''s a job for toy Town''s only detective--but he''s missing, leaving only Eddie Bear, and his bestest friend Jack, to track down the mad killer. A hilarious, very irreverent fantasy from the cult creator of Web Site Story, The Sprouts of Wrath, and the five-book Brentford Trilogy.

almost everyone knows the stories of the famous nursery rhyme characters; humpty Dumpty, Little Boy Blue, and the gang. Well, in this book, a newcomer to Toy City, Jack, teams up with the alcoholic detecitive Eddie Bear to find the serial killer behind the rich and famous nursery characters. Who would do such a thing? And what's with the chocolate bunnies? I recommend this book to anyone looking for a good, non-sense laugh.

Robert Rankin is a brilliantly funny author of over 27 hillarious books over the last 25 years. Hollow chocolate bunnies got me hooked on this author, and anxiously awaiting his next stories. The plot for this book is quite amusing, and the gimmicks that are used fit, and are at times quite bizzare. The first chapter is a bit dull, but quickly picks up.

If you are planning to buy the Robert Rankin's Toyminator, get your hands on this book first, because it is the first part of this bizzare and funny story.
