    Awesome in every way

This book got me back into reading again. I was drawn into it within the first few pages and still enjoy going back to read it from time to time. By far my favorite in the series. Salvatore paints a dark picture that's hard to turn away from, I found myself loving the heroes and hating the villains. Drizzt growing up in this dark society filled with back stabbing brothers, murderous mothers and torturous sisters all the while being told that the real evil lays outside the walls of their home is an emotional adventure. Finishing this book left me scrambling to get the next one. My only complaint with this book is how quickly it's done, but that's because I rarely put it down. A must read for fantasy lovers.

    Salvatore's Best Work

    Lindsay

Of all the books R.A. Salvatore has done, Homeland continues to be his best work of them all. He creates and captures the essence of the drow in this, his first book, and creates characters so real and honest that you cannot help but love, hate and utterly enjoy them. A must-read for anyone, drow fan or not.
