    Wonderful book

Who would have thought a book about a grief-stricken agoraphobic sending message to a dead brother via carrier pigeon could be so full of humour. This book is beautifully written. Domet most certainly has the ability to pull you forward with a compelling narrative but she’s also just as capable of stopping you suddenly with her powerful insights into love and loss. Wonderful book.

I loved this book. I couldn't take my eyes off of the page for fear I might miss something. It was as if the characters had a life of their own and were living beyond the pages of the book. It was charming, dark and real. She really weaved a lot of things into this book. It was a refreshing find amongst stale stories that have been tossed around and rewritten countless times.

This is a must-read for anyone who has ever found themselves mired in grief, wondering exactly where a lost loved one has vanished to and, more importantly, if they're okay in the mysterious and frustratingly unknowable afterlife.

Touching, funny and haunting, Homing resonates deeply and isn't soon forgotten.

An incredible debut novel by a writer from whom I'd love to see much, much more!
