Hotter After Midnight

Hotter after midnight is the first book of three in the series by cynthia eden and it is a very hot page turner.

Dr Emily drake is a therapist but not the usual kind. She treats the "things" that go bump in the night. She treats the others, vampires,shifters and more and most humans don't know they exist.

One evening after her last client was leaving someone came to her office and fear set in because it was an unknown other to her. You see emily can sense when others are near, that's her special gift.
The other which is a shifter turns out to be dective colin gyth, sent to get her to be a profiler on a deadly case. A body has been found, throat torn open blood everywhere and the captain who is a deamon wants emily to help since the cops don't know about the others and their world.

Emily agrees, and she starts working with colin, and the more colin works with her the more he wants her, to claim her to be her mate. As the search for the killer continues things really heat up between emily and colin and when emily is in trouble colin shows his true form, changes from the man to the beast, to stalk and kill whatever tries to harm emily.

The killer dubed " the night butcher" has big plans for emily and enjoys the chase and the killings and the blood, oh and there is a lot of blood.

This was a great story and very pant dropping worthy! Can't wait to read more of eden's books. I recommend this book to any paranormal/romance lover.

This story is great from beginning to end!

Emily Drake has seen monsters all her life. Shifters, Demons, Vampires and lots of other creatures that go bump in the night. She's a shrink with a thriving clientele of Other creatures Vamps that can't drink blood, shifter's that can't shift even a succubus that wants to be thought of as more than a sex symbol. Emily is also has strong empathic talents which she often uses to help her patients.

Colin Gyth is the lead detective in a brutal homicide when his boss tells him to get Emily to take a look at the crime scene he wonders why. When he discovers that Emily has the ability to see his kind and read minds he's less than thrilled he is worried his secrets may be exposed.

Emily and Colin team up to catch a serial killer who is less than human. A killer that has no intention of giving up his killing rage and human are his prey. When the killer's focus shifts to Emily Colin will do whatever it takes to keep her safe.

Ms Eden does not disappoint Hotter than Midnight will keep you up after midnight turning those pages. Warning this book is so hard to put down. Paranormal readers will love how Ms Eden has taken a great variety of paranormal favorites added an amazing plot and a hotter than hot romance.
Definitely a keeper and a recommended read.
