I have to say I really enjoyed this book - but I can see why a few people have said they didn't like it at all - it's all about the sense of humour you have.

I loved the comedic twists it put on everything, and was plesantly suprised to see some less known areas of Canada mentioned along with the larger cities that you'd expect to be reading about. It got a bunch of giggles out of me - and I will be buying a copy as a gift for some relatives this Christmas!

I read this book as an Aussie exchange student visiting Canada for a year and loved every single page! Absolutely hilarious, fascinating look at the amazing country of Canada and its even more fascinating people! One of my favourite books. Particularly like the chapter titled 'How the Canadian government works'....it doesn't! Ha ha. Go the VANCOUVER CANUCKS!

This book is a work of genius. The people who said this book was unfunny are the kind of people who would crack a smile during Will & Grace. Anyways well worth the money, of course anyone in Ontario probably wont like it since they get to face more facts than anyone else. So but this book, its 20 bucks and you can read this one again and again.

I thought Will and Ian Ferguson have written a most humerous and informative book. I chuckled out loud many times much to the chagrin of my husband who was trying to sleep . Also enjoyed the brothers other book. How to Be a Canadian. Look forward to hearing from them again soon.

This is the worst book I have ever read. Very tedious after the first couple of chapters - both in terms of writing style and humour. I'm sorry to have made the purchase.

I have to say this is one of the best books I've read in a long time. I loved the whole motto thing for provinces, even the one for alberta was sheer genius. We have oil. We have money. We have guns. Don't piss us off. I thought that was an amazing part. Having lived in 3 provinces and visited even more I can happily say that some of the stereotypes they create are very true. And who knew that New Brunswick had a giant lobster statue. I have to say It was great reading for the third and fourth times.
    Buy the book!

Best book ever, eh? I couldn't stop laughing...would recommend to any Canadian capable of seeing ourselves for what we are...and are NOT!

Reading this book after living State-side for the last few years brought tears to my eyes. I was laughing so hard. I am 'insulted' occasionally for being 'the Canadian' and this book just made me wicked PROUD to be Canadian. Anyway, many thanks to the chapters staff in Belleville, ON for dealing with me as I ended up reading the whole book in the store before I bought it.

Save your money. The writing is poor, and so is the so called humour.

If you ever want to find the true meaning of being Canadian, and you're not too frightened by that truth, than this book is a must. If you just want a great laugh, it will serve that purpose too. The Ferguson brothers are masters at saying what most Canadians think. If you're secure with the no-harm sense of humour they present, you will truly be proud to call yourself Canadian after you read this. My favorite chapter...no#14.

Living in the US for 16 years, I miss
    all things Canadian. Just hearing
Mike Myers talk about Toronto will get
    me going.
Then a Canadian friend buys this for
my sis and Wow there it all is in
black and white. All those little
    nuances of Canadians and Canada
that are so hilarious(and you know
there is nothing funnier than a funny
    Canadian).
The Ferguson brothers have done a
delightful job of putting this book
    together. I love it.
I have my own copy and now I'm
buying one for my snow bird inlaws.

I originally purchased this book for my boyfriend who is in the process of moving to Canada. After giving it to him, I noticed that it was sitting on the table for a few days, and so I picked it up and started to read. From there I found it hard to put down. I took it on a week long camping trip in the Great White North and finished it within the first two days. What a marvelous book. The humour is contagious, and I loved the ingenious titles given to each chapter. I have recommended this book to many of my friends and family as a must read. This is a perfect example of Canadian Literature at its best! EH?

This is the funniest account I have ever come across regarding Canadians and our way of life . I laughed until I hurt and then I laughed some more. The Fergusson brother's incite into all things Canadian is terrifyingly true to form. From beer to sex, Maclean's University guide to political parties, these guys hit the nailgun in the head (you'll have to read it . Many, many stars, thumbs up, and so on, eh?
