Very funny and cute book. Very much enjoyed by guests when left out on a coffee table.

This is a graphic novel/collection of cat comics from “The Oatmeal”. I've not heard of The Oatmeal (www.theoatmeal.com) before, but the guy who wrote/drew these must have a cat himself (or has had one). I was often laughing out loud. It was quick to read and very enjoyable.

After seeing a splendid review of How to Tell If Your Cat Is Plotting to Kill You I knew I had to read the book and luckily I was able to score a copy of it through my library. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect but it certainly wasn't what I got. I thought I would be in for a comic that would have laughing hysterically given what so many people were saying about the book on Goodreads and Amazon. Too bad for me it wasn't as funny as I had hoped at all. The Comics were cute but weren't anything to write home about. I thought they were only mildly funny and I was greatly disappointed by that fact considering one of my favourite bloggers gave the book such a stellar review of it I found it to be bland and pretty stereotypical with the basic cat jokes. While it was a quick and easy read I just look at it as if it was just something to occupy my time in between reading novels. I wish I had liked the book more and I wish the material tied in with the title a lot more but it didn't which I found to be a little misleading. Overall, this was an okay read. Not bad but not Good. Apart from the occasional giggle I wasn't very entertained at all and I would only recommend this book to be read as a little novelty read for cat lovers in a stocking at Christmas.

All those with furry friends will be just delighted with the content of this book :)!

This book is genius ... any cat "posessor" (not owner becasue we all know they own us!) will find this book hilarious. Laugh out loud funny!

As a cat owner I thought parts of the book were hilarious, while, as some other reviewers mention, other parts were so-so. It's all pretty tongue-in-cheek. The comics about the "Bob-cats" weren't that funny, but the plotting part was good. Overall, a decent book. Wouldn't pay full price but I thought it was a good value on sale.

Do NOT buy! This book is only an online bestseller because the title is intriguing to us cat-lovers. I found the comics in this book to be quite boring and predictable, really, given some of the actually hilarious stuff out there about cats. This book is totally NOT worth purchasing and certainly DON'T buy it as a gift unless you can flip through it yourself (some of the comics could be quite offensive to some).

Not funny. Yawn. Buy something else.

When I ordered this book I didn't know what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised to see it was pages filled with coloured images and comics. As a long time cat owner many jokes definitely made me chuckle. It isn't just a book about how your cat is plotting against you, it makes a number of different jokes about cat behaviour. I particularly enjoyed the tear out poster for my niece as well as the longer comic series within the book on two cats who work in an office. I recommend this book to anyone with a cat, especially a playful one, as you will never look at it quite the same again.

As a long time cat owner, I was looking forward to a tongue-in-cheek view of feline habits when I ordered this book. But I could only work up a mild smile at some of the cartoons; most simply weren't funny. The author obviously doesn't know cats. Lesson learned about online shopping for books - only buy the works of authors you know. Even at a discount, this book wasn't worth the money.
