Hooper has hit another home run in her special crimes unit series.
This outing has one of the most inventive, and creepily clever
psychos I've come across.
The series of abductions that turn into murders are stacking up
fast and none of the law enforcement members seem to have a clue
how to catch and stop him.
The fact that the two key character protagonists Lucas and Jordan
are exes lends an extra helping of sexual tension, complexity and
interest to their romance - they both want to catch the killer and
know it would be better to work together since they both have
psychic skills, but their break-up has broken their ability to
really trust one another so it's a constant battle between them.
The best part about this book is the killer and the inventive ways
the victims are killed and the detail and creep-factor of his
crimes. The story development as the team tries to catch this
killer is excellent - full of suspense and excitement.
This was another great book I just didn't want to put down until I
got to the end.
