I Can Make That!: Fantastic Crafts for Kids

by Mary Wallace

Owlkids Books Inc. | September 1, 2005 | Hardcover

First published in 2002, the bestselling I Can Make That! consolidates into one book the top five I Can Make ... titles of this Parents'' Choice Award-winning series. With this superb anti-boredom collection, kids recycle readily available materials into art: garbage bags become flowers, cornhusks become dolls, egg cartons become treasure trunks. Full of economical ideas for home and classroom, the book has materials lists and step-by-step photographs. "Easy to follow and easy to execute." --Canadian Book Review Annual "Teaches ... new skills." --Quill & Quire Age 4 and up.

So Creative!

This book is full of wonderful crafts, which are not run of the mill. They're simple, creative and clearly demonstrated with full colour photos, materials lists and step by step instructions. Most crafts can be made from materials you already have. Some of our favourite crafts are the little nutty buddy peanut characters, Egyptian sandals, clothespin car and the King's crown, which is very realistic considering it's made of construction paper!

We borrowed this book so much from our library, that I decided we needed to own it so we wouldn't have to share! It's worth every penny!
