I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have To Kill You: But Then I'd Have To Kill You

by Ally Carter
As told by: Ally Carter

Disney Book Group | April 1, 2007 | Trade Paperback

Cammie Morgan is a student at the Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women, a fairly typical all-girls schoolâthat is, if every school taught advanced martial arts in PE and the latest in chemical warfare in science, and students received extra credit for breaking CIA codes in computer class. The Gallagher Academy might claim to be a school for geniuses but it''s really a school forspies.Even though Cammie is fluent in fourteen languages and capable of killing a man in seven different ways, she has no idea what to do when she meets an ordinary boy who thinks she''s an ordinary girl. Sure, she can tap his phone, hack into his computer, or track him through town with the skill of a real "pavement artist"âbut can she maneuver a relationship with someone who can never know the truth about her?

Cammie Morgan may be an elite spy-in-training, but in her sophomore year, she''s on her most dangerous missionâfalling in love.

Well, like I tell everyone who asks me about the series, the first one is all about love. It's almost like the story where the princess sneaks out of her palace to be with her beloved - the peasant who's love is forbidden..... If there even IS a story like that! (haha!) No, when you think about it, in many ways, Cammie and Josh's relationship closely resembles a Romeo and Juliet romance. Not EXACTLY of course, but somewhat alike. As for reccommendation, I would say it's great for anyone! Yes, even the boys! :)

    The best start

I must admit that this was my least favourite of all the Gallagher Girl books. On the other hand, Ally Carter is the best writer in the entire world and this book is a great start to the series. Make sure you ccontinue to read, I found that the beginning quite slow.

    Fun Spy Fluff

    Blue Bug

Cammie known as the 'Chameleon' has always found it easy to get lost in the crowd, but what happens when she gets noticed?

This is a fun book to read, it starts off slow but gets better as the book goes on. It's follows the adventures of Cammie Morgan as she attends spy school with her best friends.

A fairly light read that was really fun to read and hard to put down. Good start to the Gallagher Girls series

    Such a shallow book

I couldn't bother to finish it! Let alone the first 2 chapters. Some might say it's slow at the begining and to get over it, but I honestly couldn't finish it since it had such a shallow plot, mind you the title threw me off too. Just don't read it... Try a better series like Twilight or Percy Jackson and the Olympians - now there's literature!

    Fun Spy Book!

    Romantic Blood

    (*3.5 stars*)
When I first saw this book, it seemed very interesting.
"A spy book! Thats a little different than what I usually read!"
When I read it, I was a little disappointed since it was written a bit more for younger readers, but the story was still nice and worth reading.
Basically, a girl named Cammie Morgan, who is a spy at the Gallagher Academy For Exceptional Young Women, one day goes out on a mission and meets a guy named Josh. Throughout the story, Cammie gets into a relationship with Josh, but has a hard time since- well, she has to keep her actual identity a secret to him!
Overall, a fun read, I wish it were written a little more maturely.

This novel was actually pretty fun. It's about Cammie, who goes to a school for spies (but the townspeople think its a school for rich snobby girls). So one day, during a practice mission for her class, Cammie runs into a regular guy at a carnival. Cammie and her friends make it a "mission" to get Cammie to develop a relationship with Josh and the girls would sneek into his house, look through his garabge, hack into his email account and finding out where he lives. With what Cammie founds out about him, she uses it to her advantage to establish "common" interests between her and Josh. However, Josh's friend soon starts to suspect something about Cammie..... A pretty good novel about girls who can do possibly anything. A fast and fun read. I plan to read the next novels in this series.

This is such a good reading! This novel is just so funny you can't help laughing all the time and it's so casual like you're friend with Cammie and she's telling you about her lovestory. It make me wish that I go to a school for spies to-be and well it's look like so much fun with all the gadget and everythings! I very enjoyed her POV because she always thinks like a spy and it creates a lot of funny moment! Anyways it's a very nice novel and you should read it if you like uncommon lovestories!

I Wish I Could Go To A Spy School!

Wow! This was fun read that I absolutely loved! I couldn't put it down until I was finished because the the way the main character Cammie narrates, you can really understand things from her position and really get into the novel. It's written as though the events are unfolding before your eyes.

So this is the first book in the series and the plot is that Cammie goes to a school that is actually training teenage girls to become spies, but to the nearby town, they're just known as those rich girls who attend a private school. Cammie, nicknamed the Chameleon by her friends, is used to being able to go unnoticed, but one day, a normal guy, Josh, sees her.

Cammie likes him, but how can she truly be with him when he thinks she's some home schooled girl and she can't tell him the truth?

Wow. This book was AMAZING~! (i would rate it more than five but theres no higher)
I find I could relate to it.. Sure I'm not a spy, but sometimes us girls have to sneak around and not share details on who we love. If you love books about FORBIDEN love, this book is killer. literally.

Cammie goes to a super secret school for future spies! I love this book. A cross between Alias and Veronica Mars. Sure, Cammie is learning covert operations and 14 languages but who is going to teach her about boys? I love the mix of the spy stuff and normal 15 year old girl stuff. And very age appropriate - no stuff to scare off Mom. I couldn't put it down!
