The novel “If Only You Knew” is a witty, entertaining book, and a highly satisfying read. It was fun to read how the author unfolded the main character’s (Jo’s) triumphs and tragedies during her summer when she lives with her cousin Kat. The supporting characters of Kevin and Sam posse some interesting interactions throughout the book, and there are a few unexpected twists and situations that happen with them in the story line. What I loved about the novel is the various dimensions the characters have. Jo is originally positioned as someone who is searching for some answers and directions in her life. During the course of the novel, she discovers more about herself, what defines her and what is truly important to her. In addition, there were several situations and circumstances that I found undeniably hillarious and found myself laughing out loud, or smiling from the fun-ness of the situation. Overall, “If Only You Knew” is a very enjoyable read, one that I enjoyed so much, I had a hard time putting the book down before finishing it.
