This book wasn’t bad, but it was so sad how Vinh can’t, I hope this doesn’t sound insensitive, move on in life. Not to mention that Hannah’s also lost her best friend’s. And I mean plural, she was to head strong to tell Vinh she loved him and stepped aside so her best friend can marry him and than, said best friend is murdered and the man she’s loved all along goes MIA. Sad situation, than to make matters worst, she’s almost gets killed as well and looses her hearing, and can barley walk again and quits her job for obvious reasons. WOW! So much happened, than to mix it up a bit we got about three to four other stories in the mixture and, as a reader we have to jump back a fourth with the story lines. I knew It would end up some where and it would all come together and make sense, and it did, but by the end I felt there was simply to much happening and I didn’t feel the connection with the two main characters and thought Vinh’s happy ending was sort of cut short. I am however looking forward to the next books, they ought to be good with all that happened in this novel, setting the mood for them and all.
