I found that it's not summer without you, was not as good as the first one. The characters were great and even improved a little. The settings were good and I think they still need a little work but the plot was just wow. In some ways the plot was even better then the first book. I can't wait to read the last one.

I don't have much to say about the second book in the Summer series. I thought it was amazing, personally I didn't think it was as good as the first, it just didn't have the same kind of magic to it as the first. (but not by much!) I just love this series, I think it's the perfect book for me and it's just spectacular. TEAM JEREMIAH 3 Cannot wait for book 3 C:

I absolutely loved this book. I was a bet hesitant at first when reading it, but after the first few chapters, I was hooked. I -had-to know what was going to happen next. It only took my a few hours to finish this book, given I never put it down. Incredibly glad I bought it. HIGHLY recommended.

It was a good sequel, still got me intrigued throughout the whole book. I had trouble putting it down. I read this in an entire sitting, I could not put it down. I really love how she writes her books and I can't wait to read the final one of her series. It's a feel good book, it makes you believe.

There were so many decisions that were made throughout this book! There were the ones concerning the beach house and towards the end also. I won't specify what exactly but you can kind of guess as you read on throughout the book. This book showed a certain depth to Conrad, that he really does care. And I liked how parts of the book were given from Jeremiah's part of view. This book grasps the complications of this unusual but totally forseen love triangle. I also feel bad for Steven since he's being so left out from the summer! It's kind of funny though.... Comments: Belly should have gotten that hat. Who ate Steven's lemonhead since he wasn't there? And last but definitely not least, Who do you choose? Conrad or Jeremiah?

I started this book one afternoon, and finished that very night. There was so much heartache and emotion that made this book very captivating and quite addicting. I couldn't get over at how much more real the characters seemed after reading this. It seems like Jenny Han slowly takes layers off the characters that reveal more and more about their thoughts, emotions and feelings with each book. I thought I loved this series after I read the first book, but now I know that I really, really love this series. All the characters that Han creates are amazing because of their deep love and connection to Cousins Beach. To anyone else, this would just be seen a regular beach with blue waters and soft sand. However, to Belly, Conrad, Jeremiah and Steven, memories unfold as they return every summer. I marvel at the fact that each and every memory that is retold brings us closer to the characters and their experiences. I love reading about their summers and memories and conversations! While this is a light, fun series to read, the emotions and heartache really bring a great depth. *Before you read the rest of this review, check out the first book, The Summer I Turned Pretty. . . you won't regret it!* The ending of the first book was a major cliffhanger, so starting this book was very exciting! Jenny Han switches back from things that happened in the past and what's happening in the present, we read about Belly and Taylor lying out on their towels, then proceed to learn about Susannah and Conrad. Since Susannah got very ill and passed away, Conrad has stopped caring. It looks like this will not be the summer that Belly has hoped for. Susannah's death has effected everyone deeply, and Cousins Beach will only remind them of her. To them, summer always meant Cousins Beach, but now, it looks like Belly is counting the days until summer is over. Belly prepares herself for a summer of parties and attempts from Taylor to get her mind off of Conrad. However, she cannot help it, Conrad was her first love, it's not that easy. So, when Jeremiah calls and says that Conrad went missing, she doesn't hesitate to help and try to make things right. Conrad's disappearance leads them back to Cousin's Beach, where the three of them will stay and try to make things right. With tension in the way, Conrad and Belly struggle to mend their troubles. This is how summers are supposed to be, at the one place they truly want to be. Romance ignites, tension builds, problems arise it looks like this summer will be like no other. Overall, I loved this book. The ending was a little iffy for me, and Belly was a tad annoying at times. I love her, but sometimes I just don't like the way she has these angered outbursts that make everything worse! This was a great sequel, two thumbs up! 4/5 2011-003

This is the second book in the Summer series and again like the first I really enjoyed it and I almost read it in one sitting again, overall a great book you follow the story of Belly once again but there are some chapters where you get Jeremiah's point of view and I thought that was really great. I have to mention that again Belly annoyed me a bit but she was better this time around and Conrad annoyed a little as well but again it wasn't so bad, and was it just me or did you also want to go inside that book and smack Taylor upside the head, I really don't like her character. Overall a great book/series I would definitley recommend it and I can't wait till the third boook comes out. :0)

I absolutely loved this second book by Jenny Han. It is impossible not to get emotional while reading this book. It indeed did have an amazing blend of some tension within family/friends and overall was well put together! Jenny Han just has that way of writing her characters out and making you fall for them hard! All the fans of the first book will totally love this second one and i can guarantee that they will feel the emotion spread throughout the story.

This book was amazing. It left me wanting more and anticipating the next book in the series. It is a page turner that I read every chance I got and would read over and over again. Wow.
