I can't decide which I loved more, the playful poem or the imaginative pictures.

This is a book you and the children in your life will want to read over and over and over again!

    Jamberry

My oldest son now eleven received "Jamberry" as a gift ten years ago - December 1990. This was his favorite book until a year ago when he found "Harry Potter". "Jamberry" is also a favorite for his five-year-old brother. The illustrations are amazing and the words are wonderful. I buy this book for baby showers, birthday parties, Christmas presents or just about any other time throughout the year.

Recently a three-year-old neighbor boy who has Down's syndrome was in the hospital after an accident. I asked my five-year-old what he thought would cheer up this boy. He immediately went to his book shelf and pulled his tattered and torn "Jamberrry" from it and offered to send the boy his treasured book. I explained to him that this book was in too rough of shape to give as a gift. However, my son insisted upon giving it as a get well gift. I was shocked but proud that he was willing to give up this prized possesion. He explained to me that the little boy would absolutely love his "Jamberry" and he no longer needed it as he recited back to me -

One berry, Two berry, Pick me a blueberry......Mountains and fountains/ Rain down on me/ Burried in berries/ What a jam jamboree!

Good things leave a lasting impression.
