I had watched one episode of "Jamie's Food Revolution" TV show
prior to purchasing this book. Having now owned the book for two
weeks, I can say that I love it.
I've cooked at least six meals from the book, and even my picky
seven year old has called all of the meals yummy.
Unlike other cookbooks written by celebrity chefs (i.e. Gordon
Ramsey) that I own, Jamie's recipes are simple:
- I can find all the ingredients in a normal grocery store
- there's not an overuse of herbs
- the meals are easy to assemble and cook
As a detractor, I'd like to see healthiness ratings for all of the
meals. A few involve using heavy cream, and salt - things I
normally do not put into my own cooking.
Overall, I'd have to give this book 4 stars, and I'm going to keep
using it for quite a while.
