    I bought this for my husband and ended reading it myself. It was extremely forthright and shows you that having outside interests from work does make you live longer. I laughed, cried and realized that life is too short to be worried about that presentation at work. Does anyone really care? In the scheme of things (ie. life) it rates a zero ... I recommend this book to anyone who is currently worried about losing their jobs or stressing about the little things in life - so not worth it!

    Exciting and Motivating read. A life changing book. TJONW helps you in evaluating traditional ideas about life and work, plus will aid you in evaluating what you are doing with your work and personal life. This book has many ideas and stories that challenge you to think. I bought and read the book in early 2009 and quit work April 24, 2009. Not working has been great . For myself, The Joy of Not Working was the right book at the right time.

    The Joy of Not Working is an EXCELLENT read!! If you are stressed out with life, unemployed, bored or thinking about retirement then you should definitely read this book! Make the most of your life today by following your dreams. If you hate what you are doing, then stop doing it!! Make your life what YOU want it to be.
    This book can give you the kick in the pants you need to start enjoying life more (and learn how to relax and enjoy your leisure time!).
    I especially loved how the author formatted the book... easy to read with pictures and diagrams and fun quotes all in between.
    An easy, relaxing, fun, thought-provoking book. : )
