    This was very good book! I loved it soo much! Especially the ending where the keeper finally gets what he wanted and he fades away. I loved how there was this wimpy kid that eventually turned into this awesome sports superstar. I loved how the story is a story that El Gato tells the reporter Paul (I forgot his last name: ))The setting in the woods and the fact that the keeper was a ghost made it extra interesting. Just like the city of Ember, some parts were predictable and other parts were just like.......BOOM!! The fact that El Gato couldn't see the keeper's eyes until the end made it extra creepy, in a fantastic sort of way. Also it was funny when El Gato's mom wanted him to be scientist and his dad wanted him to be a log person. READ IT

About the Author

MAL PEET grew up in Norfolk, England, where he says the only worthwhile pastimes were reading books and playing soccer. These are still his main interests. Of KEEPER, his first novel for young adults, he says, "Many soccer stories seem to get stuck in the mud like a heavy ball on a wet Saturday afternoon, but there''s no reason why they can''t shift into a different and magical dimension. KEEPER is about soccer, of course, but it''s also about the supernatural, about relationships and loneliness, about believing in yourself-and about having something you would do your utmost to protect and defend." Mal Peet now lives in Devon, England.
