    Classic fantasy

A good fantasy for independent readers who liked Angie Sage's Septimus Heap series. For parents seeking a good bedtime read-aloud, the content is also safe for younger kids.

This page-turning adventure packs a whollup of a lesson: what we fear most is the truth about ourselves. Luckily, as Mark points out, it also helps us discover the magic of facing that truth.

This cleverly crafted fantasy is full of magic, silliness, suspense and adventure and is an absolute hit with the little ones.

This book simply bursts with memorable characters, like grumpy old
Uncle Griffinskitch, sharp-tongued Captain Jinx, and brave little
Kendra herself, armed with her handful of enchanted carrot seeds.
This book is filled with adventure, charm, and wisdom, and its fantastic
illustrations remind me of the Oz books I read as a child. I'm so
pleased with this story--and I think you will be too!

    Phenominal

Your writing is phenominal as well as your drawing. The part I liked in
your book was when Kendra saved the little Unger. It reminded me of
me when I help people out. I also like the Captain Jinx . . . I am your
number 1 fan of your new book. Fantasy is one of my favourite types of
books. To me it also sounds like mystery. I like it because I like
secrets.I also like your drawings. I liked Uncle Griffinskitch.
