I loved reading the first installment of the Midnight series.
Edmund Fitz Clare is a upyre who is the father to 3 humans who
don't know his secret. Edmund falls in love with his daughter's
best friend,Estelle(a girl he rescued as a child). Now that the
children are grown, Edmund & Estelle decide to act upon their
feelings. As if keeping his secrets from the women he loves and his
children wasn't bad enough, there is someone out to destroy a
powerful female elder and has chosen Graham, Edmund's adoptive son
.
There were a couple of twists in this book and the side stories
added to the entertainment value of the book. I can't wait to read
the next book in the series, Breaking Midnight.
