The Sequel to the Beloved #1 "New York Times" Bestseller "The Friday Night Knitting Club"
The sequel to the number-one "New York Times" bestseller "The Friday Night Knitting Club, KNIT TWO" returns to Walker and Daughter, the Manhattan knitting store founded by Georgia Walker and her young daughter, Dakota. Dakota is now an eighteen-year-old freshman at NYU, running the little yarn shop part-time with help from the members of the Friday Night Knitting Club.
Drawn together by the sense of family the club has created, the knitters rely on one another as they struggle with new challenges: for Catherine, finding love after divorce; for Darwin, the hope for a family; for Lucie, being both a single mom and a caregiver for her elderly mother; and for seventysomething Anita, a proposal of marriage from her sweetheart, Marty, that provokes the objections of her grown children.
As the clubas projectsaan afghan, baby booties, a wedding coataare pieced together, so is their understanding of the patterns underlying the stresses and joys of being mother, wife, daughter, and friend. Because it isnat the difficulty of the garment that makes you a great knitter: itas the care and attention you bring to the craftaas well as how you adapt to surprises.

Kudos to Kate Jacobs on her follow up novel to The Friday Night Knitting Club, Knit Two. Bringing back all the characters from the first book, Jacobs really showcased each of the character's lives to their fullest potential. It has been 5 years since Georgina's passing and Walker and Daughter in NYC is still the 'home' for this knit tight group of friends. Each page unturns a new portion of the character's lives... Will Dakota ever become the pastry chef she dreams of being? Does… read more

Another Great Knitting Club Story 5

Knit Two by Kate Jacobs was like meeting up with old friends again. In short it was wonderful and I loved it! I've been a fan of Kate Jacobs since I first read The Friday Night Knitting Club which was an awesome book. This past year I read Comfort Food which I also really enjoyed. However, to find out there was a sequel to The Friday Night Knitting Club was the best news ever for me and it didn't disappoint in the least. Again, Kate Jacobs draws you into all the characters lives and this… read more
