Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous!! This book was awesome! SPOILERS!!! Queen Tatiana has been murdered and the people blame Rose! Now Rose and Demitri (who is no longer strigori) are on the run, Lisa is running for queen, and a murderer is running loose around the palace. To make matters worse, Rose has to look for Lisa's long lost relative, and she still has to sort out her feelings about Demitri.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing!! I haven't left reviews for the last 4 books, cause I thought that it would be pointless. Anyways, I loved this series. Except I was kind of disappointed that Rose ended up with Demetri in the end. I thought her and Adrian made a good couple. That made me kind of mad and I just felt bad for Adrian. I know it's strange to feel for a fictional character in a book or movie, but I do. But other than that, it was amazing. I am so glad I read the entire series.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not the best end to the series ***MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS*** As much as I loved this whole series, The Last Sacrifice was not my favorite book. I started reading this about a month and a half ago and picked it up now and then, just finishing the last 200 or so pages in the last few days. This book dragged for me. I would read about 40 pages, put it down for a few weeks and then know exactly what was going on when I picked it up. I found the whole thing to be boring and predictable: - Lissa was nominated to become queen … It was only inevitable that she would actually become queen. - Lissa needed another family member in order to become queen … Naturally, Rose and her entourage found Jill – and it was no problem at all. Why is it that it took their group no time at all to find out that Jill was a Dragomir? Wouldn’t anyone else catch on at some point? - Viktor is killed and no longer a threat. Rose was upset about it but definitely got over it fast. A few things irritated me, though. First and foremost, the treatment of Adrian. I loved Adrian. Ever since he and Rose hooked up, I was rooting for him. But then, Rose is alone with Dimitri and every single touch, look, smell that comes from him drives Rose crazy with lust. Eventually, she decides that she has to be with Dimitri and not Adrian. Heaven forbid she tells Adrian – she might need him for something later. What garbage that was!! Bad move, Mead – I was rolling my eyes every time Rose swooned over Dimitri … Why couldn’t they both move on without each other? Why hurt Adrian? And is it just me, or is Rose really annoying about the whole “sex” issue with her and Dimitri? Isn’t it a little stalker-ish to have sex once and then claim to be soul mates with the guy? And what’s with it always being referred to as having sex? Why not making love or something? And what happened to Sydney? To Robert? To the Keepers? Supposedly, there will be a spin-off series featuring Sydney, Eddie, Jill, and Adrian. I don’t think I’ll be reading these ones … I would hate to see Adrian hurt more. Despite all the predictable and boring parts, and the parts I just didn’t like, the book wasn’t bad … There was some decent action (not enough, but some), and the process of Lissa becoming queen was pretty good, especially with her tests. Her character really grew up in this book. I just wish Rose would have grown up as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great series. I picked up all the books in the Vampire Academy series when Chapters had their "Buy 3 get 1 Free" sale. I wish I had discovered this series earlier...I just thought it would be another lame vampire series....but to my surprise it wasn't. The first book hooked me to the point where it was finished within hours. I finished the whole series in little over a week. I even brought the books to school to read in between classes...which I NEVER do. If you're looking for a good series to kill some time with, this is definitely a good one. Random Thoughts: -great characters...Rose and Demetri's relationship is hilarious. -there's 6 books in the series, which is enough. Yet the author decided to start some sort of spin-off series based on another character (Bloodlines). I'm not a fan of when authors do this. It's overkill. -The covers aren't horrible, I just wish they wouldn't put faces on them. It's one of the reasons I didn't want to read the books in the first place...they looked lame.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply amazing ending to a great series I just love the vampire academy series so much. my only complaint would be that the series is sadly ending so i will have to shopping for a new one now; or at least until bloodlines comes out. I was thoroughly impressed with the way the that Richelle ended the series. She did it with mystery; intrigue and most of all with justice. It felt satisfying to find the ending was perfect. I am currently reading through the books again; but in french this. I am enjoying all the nostalgia i feel as i read the pages. I totally recommend this book to any vampire appreciator.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Read All of the very Vampire Academy books (by Richelle Mead) are amazing. The books are intresting, I found the more I read the more hooked I was. They will leave you hooked and wanting more. If you like or love the Twilight saga by Stephine Meyer you will love the Vampire Academy series.I finished all six books in about four to five days. It takes alot to hook me on one book nevermind six, so I don't think it would take alot for anyone to get hooked on them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW this is all I could say This book gave me so many mix emotions. I cried, I laugh, I was scared, I was hoping for so many thing but... Anyway, The impossible love story, the action, the heart breaking stuff ... so much happening and so much emotions coming out of me. This is unfortunately the last book of the series and I wish it would have continue but at lease it finish pretty well. This is an amazing book and probably my favorite book of this series. Way to go VA . Enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Conclusion to Series! You know how you shouldn't judge a book by its cover? Well, that saying should definitely apply to the Vampire Academy series. None of the covers are particularly spectacular but I must say that the one for Last Sacrifice is my least favourite. I thought it was a joke when I first saw it... not that the covers are really important in this case because this series is just so popular that it wouldn't really stop too many people anymore from reading the novel. The amazing story Richelle Mead has created within definitely makes up for it in any case! I thought Richelle Mead did a wonderful job wrapping up the Vampire Academy series! There has always been tons of action and suspense to expect, and while there was more political maneuvering in this novel, it still left me anxious to find out what would happen next. There weren't too many surprises with the ending since I kind of figured it couldn't end without some happiness and a sense of relief for the characters, but the only exception was trying to solve the mystery of Queen Tatiana's murder. I had absolutely no clue until the answer was right in front of my eyes, after which point, I was left stunned and speechless! I have been Team Adrian since the moment we met him in book two and I've never wavered in my support of him, no matter if he ended with Rose or not. I just don't think I've ever been able to get over the 7-year difference between Rose and Dimitri, and how he was her teacher and all that, not matter how kind he was, how well he could fight or how his personality was so in tune with Rose's a lot of times. No, sadly, Dimitri and I have never truly connected but I absolutely adore Adrian! I had a feeling who Rose would inevitably decide her heart belonged to though and I could understand her choice completely without feeling too bitter. While I'm sad to say goodbye to Rose and Lissa's story of friendship and the endless trouble they always seemed to find themselves in... I think after six novels, it was time to see an end. I've been a fan from the very beginning and I would have hated to see the storyline stretched to its very limits. So for me, I did think it was a fitting conclusion. And I'm perfectly happy knowing that we have the spin-off series to look forward to beginning this August with the release of Bloodlines and the return of some characters! Should be exciting, right? Rated 5 out of 5 by from Where to start?! This was an amazing series! One of the best that I've read, besides Twilight. This book wasn't my favourite but it still was amazing. There was so much drama and action involved. The grand escape and trying to figure out who the murderer was! In the end love always conquers all, but sometimes it takes baby steps to get there. One thing I don't like about this book was that there were so many characters (that was fine) but the author didn't elaborate what happened to them. She just.. left them. Other than that, It was the best!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't wait for Bloodlines! As much as I'd like to rant and rave about the things that happened in this book, I will refrain from spoiling anything for anyone who has yet to read this book. Given that, I hope you've read the previous books in the series, or else, avert your eyes! Last we saw Rose, she'd been imprisoned for the murder of Moroi Queen Tatiana. The consequence could only be execution, and she sits in a jail cell, not fearing her death, but despising the manner of death. As a guardian, she always saw herself dying in battle, protecting those she loved most. She can't even draw solace from her love, Dmitri, because after having been healed by Lissa, he refuses contact with her, overwhelmed with guilt about his Strigoi actions and feeling he is incapable of any love she has to give him. Rose's friends scramble to prove her innocence and in turn try to find the real murderer. Course, that takes time, time Rose doesn't have. Cue the action! Explosions! There are some pretty big revelations in this book and you really get to see how the characters mature and step up for their responsibilities and actions. Dmitri and Rose, while not a couple, really delve into what their relationship was before he turned Strigoi and if they can forgive themselves and move on. To be honest, Rose and Dmitri scenes are the best. They could be standing around yet you know that there's so much more going on beneath the surface and having Rose's analysis on those feelings makes you care for them all the more. The identity of the murderer leaves you clueless until the end and in between there's plenty of fighting and court antics that will hold your attention. What really stuck most with me, though, was how Mead handled Rose's relationships with Dmitri and Adrian. I adored Adrian but I'm sure we all knew (hopefully) how this series would end, yet it didn't end neatly with a big bow. Relationships can be messy and painful and drama only adds fuel to the fire. I think this is a great end to the Vampire Academy series and Rose's adventures. While it didn't end happily for every character, nor can that be expected, it was enough that you could close the book with a sigh and eagerly anticipate Mead's next book Bloodlines, to see how the other characters are moving on and what has come from the major political change. Love this series, it's a must read! Review also here: http://allofeverythingforyou.blogspot.com/2011/02/review-last-sacrifice-by-richelle-mead.html

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Need another! I loved the Vampire Academy !! Richelle Mead did an amazing job intertwining every single one of these books together, and I feel she needs one more! I must know how Dimitri and Rose make out their first year together! The are so addicting that I couldn't put them down...I think I read all six in a matter of a week or so. Nicely done and hopefully we will see another?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it So Much 3 This series was soooo amazing, Rose and Dimitri are such great characters, along with everyone else like Lissa, Christian, Adrian ect. I can hardly put how i felt about this book into words, because there are so many things running through my mind right now about this book. I am so dissapointed that this book ended, although it ended really well, I feel really empty like I need more of the Vampire Academy series to make me feel whole. (Weird I know)_But i loved this book soo much and sad that it ended, but im hoping for the best of the Spin-Off seris (BloodLine) and although its in the point of view of Sydney I have a feeling it should be great. But everyone who loves Action, Romance, Thriller ect this book is definetly for you, whether you like Vampires or not, you will not be dissapointed at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Book! I have never really been one for happy endings, or at least I never thought so but if this series ended now I would be satisfied. Don't get me wrong, I want the author to continue this series but I love where this book ended. It still leaves the possibility for more adventures but they may be a long time coming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best is the series? I am hard pressed to pick my favourite book in this series, but Last Sacrifice. Richelle Mead has tied up all the loose strings and has ever so neatly written one of the best mysteries I've read in a while. I was sad to see the end of one of the best series in teen, but I respect that she ended the series on a high note. Well worth the price in hard cover.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Satisfying ending This series never seems to fail. Again, it had action, romance, and friendship all the way through. It ties up nicely in the end and leaves room for a spin off series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An amazing end to my favourite series! After the cliffhanger ending of Spirit Bound, I was dying to read Last Sacrifice, hoping that it would be amazing, and it most certainly did not disappoint. Without giving too much away, we find Rose in a situation that seems hopeless, even for her. She must fight for her life, while trying to uncover a secret that has stayed buried for years. Rose is, as ever, completely bad-ass and hilarious. But we also see the softer side of her and how much she truly cares for her friends, especially Lissa, and what she would do for Dimitri, who she never stopped loving. I couldn't have asked for a better ending to my favourite series and thought Richelle Mead did an amazing job on Last Sacrifice. This book, as with all the other Vampire Academy books, sucked me right in from the first page and didn't let go until the final one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Amazing Finale that ends an Amazing Series! Wow. Wow. Wow....Wow! Mead wrote an absolutely stunning finale to end this series. Although, I am sad that I will not be able to read about Rose, Lissa, Dimitri, Adrian and Christian any longer, I am thrilled that this series ended the way it did. I love everything about this series, and this book was more than I could have ever asked for! Even though Mead is done writing about Rose and her friends, it doesn't mean I will stop thinking about her and all of the amazing adventures she's experienced. Vampire Academy is definitely on of my all time series'. This finale was breathtaking, stunning, thrilling, heart-wrenching, captivating, moving, amazing, awesome, fantastic . . . it was too good for words! After the intense cliffhanger that ended the last book, I was more than anxious to read this book. Looks like Rose is in for another crazy adventure. Now, she will have to clear her name and find out who was really behind the murder. Action, romance and mystery all come together to create an absolutely brilliant finale that is sure to have VA fans staring at the very last page. . . wishing there was more. 5/5 2010-068 Final book of 2010. An amazing book to conclude an amazing year!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh wow is all I can say OK this book was worth the wait. It was a great ending for a great series. It is bitter sweet really. You want to know what happens but now it is over and that is really too bad. This had to be one of the best vampire series I have read and I have read a lot of them. If you have not started this series do yourself a favor and start. Now that all the books are out you can read start to finish without missing a bet. You will not be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rose-logic finally gets it right.. Last Sacrifice is the final book in the Vampire Academy series and I must say it really leaves the series on a high note. However, while ends are tied up for our main characters, we’re left with anticipation for Mead’s next promising series. Our spunky and irrational Rose jumps off Last Sacrifice in the most impossible of situations. She’s the number one suspect for killing the Queen, Tatiana, and finds herself locked up in a cell with an inevitable trial and death sentence coming her way with nothing that she, herself, can do about it. Not even Rose-logic seems to be able to help her dig her way out of her cell with a plastic spoon. Luckily, her crazy plotting trait has rubbed off on her always loyal group of friends, who get accompanied by some surprising allies. With help from Lissa, Christian, Adrian, Eddie and , of course, Dimitri Rose gets her jailbreak on, but her friends are in charge of the show. Stubborn Rose struggles in attempting to take the reigns while her friends attempt to keep her safe and hidden away while Lissa leads the search for the real murderer back at Court. We all know Rose can’t sit still for long, so she uses her every wit and womanly wiles to run off from the one person she can never escape, Dimitri. She doesn’t get far.. but so starts the adventure for a mysterious person who will give Lissa her rightful place in the Royal world of the Moroi, and maybe, just maybe, find the proof to clear her own name of being an assassin. Even with the big picture in mind, Rose finds herself caught between Adrian and Dimitri. Who wouldn’t want to be between them though, right? Stuck in a world of fears and uncertainty, Rose still stays strong but finally learns to accept help and trust in others instead of just herself. Last Sacrifice was a solid final book in the series, but it is sad that Vampire Academy series is over. The finale was the perfect combination of action, mystery, romance and surprise. Rose’s love life doesn’t ever seem dull and we’re definitely not let down with the Rose and Dimitri time. His Russian badassness interacting with Rose’s sexy and irrational ways will be most likely the thing I miss the most, and just mention of “Roza” makes anyone get the butterflies in your belly feeling, even if its not your name he’s saying. The ending was clean and tied up as far as what we needed to see for Rose’s role. As for every other character who gets the short end of the stick, well rest assured that we will be seeing those untied ends in the next series. Pretty perfect ending to one of my favourite series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Last Sacrifice ! I personally loved the whole series and you will not be disappointed if you decided to pick it up and read it. Last Sacrifice is definitley a great read, there are alot of different twist and turns, it is definitley a Rose Hathaway adventure. I injoyed it because i couldnt wait to get the answers to what happens to Rose and her friends. I was sad to see the series end, but I def injoyed Rose's story and all her adventures. Though I do feel that, the ending wasnt what i had expected in terms of how she left some of the other characters story lines unfinished. If your going to finish a series you would think you would have a conclusion to all the characters. I dont want to give any spoilers for people who havent read it,but I really liked it !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Conclusion This book ended... well, perfectly. In the end of a series, a lot of authors try to tie off every single little plot point, which often leads the ending to be messy and not very satisfying. Mead, on the other hand, concluded the main storyline, but did not give every other issue in the novel the same treatment. We never learn the fates of so many secondary characters, such as Eddie, Adrian, Jill, and Sydney. Speaking of Sydney Sage, Mead never even concludes the plot thread about what exactly Abe has over the Alchemist, other than her job transfer. Most likely those issues will be addressed in the upcoming spinoff series, Bloodlines, but I'm happy that Richelle Mead didn't try to give all of her characters a loose-end free conclusion. As for the rest of the novel, it was exactly what is expected of the stellar Vampire Academy series: lots of action, plot twists, and, of course, romance. The only thing I disliked had to do with the aforementioned romantic aspect of the story: the conclusion of the Dimitri/Rose/Adrian love triangle left something to be desired. It was fine, but not quite up to par with the rest of the book. It might just be my opinion, but a lot of the scenes towards the end between Rose and Dimitri just seemed like a waste of time and ink, and I just wanted to skip over them to get back to the action; they kind of messed up the story's pacing. The book was full of action, though, so it wasn't too hard to put up with the occasional boring scene. There was also a lot of intrigue, especially involving the real murderer of Queen Titiana. I had a feeling that it wasn't going to be Daniella, but I never guessed who the real murderer was right up until the big reveal. Which was great, because when the 'big mystery' is really obvious to the reader for the entire book, it sort of makes the main characters look like morons for not figuring it out sooner, which usually means the book isn't very enjoyable. Suffice to say, that wasn't the case in Last Sacrifice. I won't say any more about the plot to prevent any more spoilers, so, in conclusion, I would like to firstly apologise for my total abuse of commas and secondly, I would like to recommend this book, and this series in general, to everyone! Don't miss out on Vampire Academy because you don't like Twilight. There really isn't any real comparison there. Stories about vampires have been around for a long, long time. It is not as if Stephenie Meyer created them, so it is annoying that every time there is a novel about vampires it is instantly compared to the Twilight books, even if they aren't remotely similar. So, basically, I'm trying to say that these are nothing like Twilight. (They are 1000 times better!) In the off chance that you actually DO like Twilight, read this series and you will question why you ever liked books about vampires that sparkle. Case closed. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow ..Couldn't have ended better!! Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm so going to miss Rose and this series! Wow, Vampire Academy has always been one of my favourite series, close to heart, and now that it's over I feel alone and sad. I always am jump up and down to read Rose's adventure's but now they've come to an end. I'm not sure of the spin of series will be the same. I gotta say, in a lot of series the third book sucks, but this I gotta love. I do hope though that in the spin-off series we will learn what happens to the other characters... one of those that didn't get the happy ending..... and I just guess that was the only thing that bothered me. What happened to everyone else? But then I guess the book would have to be at least another 100 pages... but I wouldn't mind that ;) I'm gonna miss this series, but I am surely going to read more of Mead's books :))

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The series had a good run December 7/2010 marked the day that the last book in the Vampire Academy series came out, Last Sacrifice is book six and the last book in the series and I have to put it out there that it had a great run. Overall the book was really great I really like this series it's in my tops for sure but I have to say that some aspects of this book could have been better but hey it happens right. The book had a great pace but at times it was slow but with all the twists and turns and surprises happening they kept you wanting to read more. Again the book was great and I enjoyed the ending but I have to say that Richelle Mead did not cover everything or tie everything up and that was something I was hoping for, There was one main situation that happened that made me a little upset but I'm not going to say what it was because I don't want to spoil, I just feel some characters were left in the dust a little. But overall a GREAT book and a great series if you have not reead these books please check them out and I look forward to the new spin off series to The Vampire Academy. :0)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful :) I don't want to write much because I really don't want to give anything away, but in general, this book makes my almost-perfect list. The ending made me happy, though I feel like Richelle Mead didn't cover everything at the end; I was asking myself; what happens to those people? Or what happens to those other two people? Questions aside, it was a great ending to the series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NEW SERISE!!! "Last Sacrifice will be the last book about Rose, but it'll be followed by a spin-off series still set in the Vampire Academy world. Side characters we know from the current series will now be our main characters, and there'll be a whole new storyline (not the last one told from a different perspective). So far, there is no title or release date info for the new series. Expect it in 2012."- From Richelle Mead's Website
