I am a big fan of Jim's work.
The Leader's Digest takes a lot of the principles that Jim has
intiially discussed in Growing the Distance, and extended them into
the team environment.
I think that really is pertinent to everyone.
Everywhere you go, various work situations, your family life,
various community activiies, we are all involved in teams. Our
happiness is very much dependent on how we function with others,
but there are lots of issues that occur when multiple people get
involved.
The guidance Jim provides in growing our leadership skills from
inside is very helpful. In these challenging times, people seem to
be grasping at straws as to how to get control of things. This book
will provide you with some practical ways to focus and improve on
things you can control . . . .yourself.
I think you will be very pleased and the sense of comfort you will
bring to yourself and the results you will be able to achieve, once
are able to use all the great tips and ideas Jim provides,
distilled from decades of management development experience he has.
I have worked in several companies where Jim and his team has
helped us with leadership training. We have found his material to
strike a chord with a broad cross-section of people and have seen
very good results with the types of ideas he explores in this book.
And his common sense approach to these issues makes it very easy to
take some of the ideas back to your workplace and your family life
immediately.
