A national best-seller on its first publication in 2003, Leap of Faith is the story of a young American woman who became wife and partner to an Arab monarch. Couldn't Put it Down

I had been wanting to buy this for quite some time and when I did I loved it. I loved how essentially an American Girl can grow up to be Queen and make such an impact on so many peoples lives.

    History Moves Her

I have always been interested in King Hussein and his politics, and was looking for a different perspective. I am not normally a fan of autobiographies, but after having read this book, she fast became a woman I admire. It was a fabulous read, the anecdotes of both her own life and the life of her country were beautiful and tragic.

From the start it became very clear to me that thousands of years of history move this woman with every step. I was drawn in by how passionately she speaks of her adopted country, her home, and the depth of her character that grows with each passing chapter in her life. And her love for King Hussein, the history of her new culture, and the poignancy and relevancy of the struggles of this geographical area are all very deeply entwined in what I consider an amazing body of work.

I found this book very hard to get into, I bought it assuming it would be very interesting yet find myself dozing off while reading. While Queen Noor's story is a unique one, I found it too heavy in historical details. Would have preferred to hear more about her life than the details of wars and class struggles from the early ages. Reads somewhat like a history lesson.

A love story in a far off land reminiscent of Grace Kelly and Monaco. Very enlightening on the Middle-East, world politics and women's rights and roles in the Muslim culture.

From the Critics

"A compelling memoir...the ending has real power. If Queen Noor''s object was to make the Arab world more human and understandable, she has succeeded."
