Lemon-aid: New Cars 2000

by Phil Edmonston

Stoddart Publishing | October 15, 1999 | Trade Paperback

Phil Edmonston knows what he's talking about when it comes to cars. This book explains what's going on with the used car market. It covers automobile service bulletins, dealer mark-ups, available warranties, which cars get the most complaints and which are the safest during a collision. Lemon-Aid New Cars 2000 also offers some tips on negotiating a better deal.

    helpful to you?

For years this guy has made a killing selling overpriced paperbacks loaded with cheap innuendo, rumor, stereotyping and a foaming-at-the-mouth anger at anything that moves on four wheels.

To mix entertainment to the misery of reading this book, it is replete with hundreds of factual mistakes about the specifications of the cars he reviews .

It all gets worse over the years because the largest revision of the book from one year to the next is the cover. The content is often hillariously out of date, describing models that have been off the market for years.

But it's not as if chapters/indigo was selling a lot of these anyway - look at the listings under the Our customers who bought this book ... heading, above.
