    Saved my sanity

I loved this book. I recommended it to all my friends. I probably got a little annoying about it to be honest. Took a lot of the daily stress of "What's for dinner?" out of my life. The recipes are mostly mediocre, some better, some worse, but the point is that all of them are well described as too how long they will take, give a variety for each week depending on how much or little time you have, and have a blessed grocery list for each week. I used this book for well over a year straight.

It will surprise no one who knows me that I am not a chef. But even I get sick of the microwave, and occasionally, I remind myself I should cook something for my better half, and this is always the book I grab.

The instructions are clear, the recipes are easy to follow, and despite that (or because of it?) the food is fantastic - complete with total time cooking, and a symbol system for how involved cooking it will be. It's also healthy, has ready-made grocery lists for the grocery shopping incompetant (guilty!), and has an amazing range of options for the plain pallette to the spicier fare. I keep glancing at other cookbooks, but always come back to this one.

OMG! I love this cookbook. The chicken terayaki toss-up with honey curried pasta (that is a made up name, but what we call it at our house because we eat it constantly) is one of the greatest recipes ever. I have all her cookbooks but this one is the best.

    LOVE This Cookbook

You can't go wrong with this cookbook. The recipes are easy & dinner is on the table within 60 minutes (maximum) every night. The instructions are detailed and most recipes have a colour photo to show you what to expect. And, the photos are "actual food, no fancy tricks", so it really does turn out like the picture. Sandi's system has made dinnertime a pleasure & I love being able to buy groceries for several weeks at a time (well, except the milk & fresh fruits & veggies). I highly recommend the Chicken Pot Pie, Beef Enchilada Casserole, Lean Shepherd's Pie & the Spinach Lasagna. It's all good!

This book is amazing! I've used it now for about 3 years and love it. Life seems so much easier when we're using "the book" It takes a lot of stress from your life when you know what you are having for supper before you even get out of bed. I am excited to buy the others she has written because there are 13 weeks worth of recipes but I think rotating a couple books would keep it even more interesting. We used this book for 2 of the 3 years just for the 2 of us and had plenty of leftovers for the next days lunches. Supper delicious! I've never found a cook book that I liked or used more than 3 recipes from let alone tried and enjoyed every one! You'll love it especially if you commit to trying it for a couple of weeks! Buy the groceries on the list and you'll never have an excuse not to cook an excellent meal!!
