I read Dr. Posen's book 2 years ago after we had him speak at a
personal development seminar at our company.
He covered work/life balance and how the lack of balance can
increase one's stress.
I've read many books of this kind and his is by far, one of the
best. (In my humble opinion)
Why?
1. It's simple and down to earth; no long-winded chapters with tons
of complicated models/theories that one has to remember and then
try to implement.
Instead, he covers a topic in about 2 pages (with great examples
and humourous comments), sums it all up in a paragraph or two and
offers suggestions in what he calls "Prescriptions or Rx".
2. There is no pretense about him or his book; his writing style is
clean and "approachable".
3. He backs up his book with tons of real life stories and
experience.
If you want a book that you can pick up, read a few pages and have
something to ponder around how to deal with stress and work/life
balance (without racking your brain and have a laugh too) - I
recommend it!
