About the Author

David Patchell-Evans is the founder and CEO of GoodLife Fitness Clubs, Canada's largest and fastest-growing fitness empire. Patchell-Evans, or "Patch," as everyone calls him, is a five-time Canadian rowing champion and an active rower, runner, and skier today. Two weeks into his first year in university he was involved in a serious motorcycle accident. A lengthy and arduous period of rehabilitation at a sports clinic sparked his interest in sports and exercise, and he went on to combine courses in physical fitness and business, and to found his business empire. In this sane approach to health and exercise, Patch recounts his own personal story and gives balanced and inspiring tips on exercise, diet, and life.

    Goodlife Commercial! 2

This review is from: Living the Good Life (Trade Paperback)

This book seemed like one big long infomercial for GoodLife Fitness clubs. It did very little to get me off the couch, especially after I heard how great the GoodLife Fitness clubs are and how much David cares about people. This book just seemed to glorify Mr. Patch's life. It didn't seem to give any real inspiration. Basically, it's just his lifestory and how he has made millions.

    WOW 5

WOW, I purchased this book with the intent of learning a bit more about business and how they come about. I was fascinated and captured about what 'Patch' had to write. He is a phenomenal man with a phenomenal business. I went to check out his fitness club, GoodLife, and joined right away. I want to be a part of a business that cares so much about his clientel. I would recommend this book to everyone! read more
