From the Publisher

While teenage werewolf Kalix MacRinnalch is being pursued through the streets of London by murderous hunters, her sister, the Werewolf Enchantress, is busy designing clothes for the Fire Queen. Meanwhile, in the Scottish Highlands, the MacRinnalch Clan is plotting and feuding after the head of the clan suddenly dies intestate. As the court intrigue threatens to blow up into all-out civil war, the competing factions determine that Kalix is the swing vote necessary to assume leadership of the clan. Unfortunately, Kalix isn''t really into clan politics -- laudanum''s more her thing. Even more unfortunately, Kalix is the reason the head of the clan ended up dead, which is why she''s now on the lam in London. . . This expansive tale of werewolves in the modern world -- friendly werewolves, fashionista werewolves, troubled teenage werewolves, cross-dressing werewolves, werewolves of every sort -- is hard-edged, hilarious, and utterly believable.

There are so many characters and plots in this book that I can't really go into in too much detail. But here goes. Kalix is the youngest child in a powerful werewolf family. She is an outcast because of her attack against her father, a cutter and a laudnum addict. The story focuses on many people. Kalix, her sister, 2 brothers, many cousins, her mother, her ex-lover and the humans she has befriended. There is romances, friendships, the battle for the Thaneship of werewolves, betrayal, etc… read more

A differnt type of werewolf book 4

this is not your typical paranormal book. Miller creates entire worlds that you feel you can walk in, mixing werewolves, fire queens, and real people. really liked this book, but it is relatively thick and it took me a long time to get through it.

Lonely little wolf girl has an interesting mix of unique characters that you can't help feeling something for. Mr. Miller used such a creative way of keeping so many interactions in play, I never felt bored reading it.
