About the Author
Una McGovern studied English Language and Literature at the University of Sheffield before completing an MA in Lexicography at the University of Exeter. She is currently a freelance editor and writer, with a wide range of reference books to her name. As editor, Una has worked on such books as Chambers Dictionary of Quotations (2005), Chambers Biographical Dictionary (2002), Chambers Dictionary of Literary Characters (2004) and Chambers Dictionary of the Unexplained (2007). She has also contributed to, and worked as copy-editor on, numerous other titles, both fiction and non-fiction. Una lives with her partner in rural Devon, spending much of her leisure time developing an organic kitchen garden.
