With their thirtieth birthdays looming, Jen, Holly, and Amanda are feeling the pressure to hit certain milestones-score the big promotion, find a soul mate, have 2.2 kids. Instead, they make a pact to quit their jobs, leave behind everything familiar, and embark on a yearlong round-the-world search for inspiration and direction.

Traveling 60,000 miles across four continents, Jen, Holly, and Amanda push themselves far outside their comfort zones to embrace every adventure. Ultimately, theirs is a story of true friendship-a bond forged by sharing beds and backpacks, enduring exotic illnesses, trekking across mountains, and standing by one another through heartaches, whirlwind romances, and everything in the world in between.

From the Critics

?Brave, funny, and deeply moving, THE LOST GIRLS is a real-life fairy tale for anyone who?s ever wanted to chuck it all and see the world with a best friend on each arm.? (Cathy Alter, author of Up for Renewal: What Magazines Taught Me About Love, Sex, and Starting Over)

About the Author

Jennifer Baggett never dreamed that she'd become a writer, but she's thrilled to have cut her teeth on The Lost Girls. Prior to the trip, she worked in marketing and promotions and held positions at the Sundance Channel, VH1, and NBC. She hails from Bowie, Maryland.

Amanda Pressner caught the travel bug at the age of eight when she and her family traveled cross-country in a camper van nicknamed "The Blue Moose." Between trips abroad, she writes for such publications as USA Today, Shape, Travel + Leisure, and Cosmopolitan. She is a native of Tampa, Florida.

Holly C. Corbett is a freelance writer whose work has appeared in publications such as Women's Health, Prevention, Seventeen, and Fitness. Her adventures have taken her to all seven continents—she has swum past icebergs in the Antarctic Ocean, slalom water-skied next to alligators in Florida, and hiked the Leaping Tiger Gorge in China. She was born in Syracuse, New York.

When they're not traveling the world, all three Lost Girls live in New York City.
