From Our Editors

When breast cancer attacks women, it doesn't just affect the individual. It turns the lives of husbands, sons and fathers, along with daughters and mothers, upside down. In Canada, women like Linda Evangelista, Roberta Bondar and Margaret Atwood have led the fight for cancer research to cure this debilitating illness. In part to thank the women in this book for their contributions and in part to raise awareness for the cause, Canadian musician Bryan Adams turns his talent from music to the camera. The resulting photos in Made in Canada are stunning, resonant images that reinforce the strength we have to beat this monster.

From the Publisher

Bryan's photographs are very inspiring and thought provoking. He captured the soul of the women he portrayed in their own most beautiful way.

I particularly like the photos of Melissa Auf der Maur and Margaret Atwood. The photos aren't your typical magazine, tons of make-up kinda photos, they show these women as they really are, natural. I hope to get the Royal Ontario Museum to see Bryan's exhibit. The photography in this book is excellent, and the poses are unique.I especially liked the picture of the news anchors, which included Sandie Rinaldo, Pamela Wallin, Ann Medina, Allison Smith and Valerie Pringle. I think each one of these women is attractive in a different way. I would recommend this book for any one to look at. Great conversation piece.
