Magister Trilogy #1 Feast Of Souls

C.S. Friedman is my new, favorite author. Her books inspire in me the same feelings as a night of twinkling stars do. Her words flow easily and speak to the imaginative, creative part of my soul. By the last few pages of this book, I was practically holding my breath, racing through as if somehow I could help affect the outcome. As with the Coldfire Trilogy, I highly recommend her books & very eagerly look foward to the continuing tale in the second book, "Wings of Wrath".

The story of Kamala is an amazing one. Rich with political intrigue, dark sexuality, and an original idea of magical practise, it's truly an addictive and powerful read. Having never read anything by Friedman before, I was certainly impressed by this first of three. I eagerly look forward to the next one.
