Better Than I Thought It Was Going To Be

Unlike the "Mammoth" books I've read in the past, the 2nd instalment of the mammoth book of vamp romance 2 was actually good. I found myself liking more of the stories than I hated.

Some of my faves were "Coven of Mercy" by Deborah Cooke (This was the one that brought a tear to my eye). "Blood Feud" by Patti O'Shea, "The Murder Kings" Woman by Jamie Leigh Hansen, "The Scotsman & The Vamp" by Jennifer Ashley and "Point Of No Return" by Jennifer St. Giles. There were a couple of others that I liked as well.

There were also a couple I really didn't enjoy like "Butterfly Kiss" by Carole Nelson Douglas which was told from the POV of a PI who happens to be a cat. Another shorty I didn't enjoy was "I Need You More" by Justine Musk. This story was 13 pages long and made very little sense.

My only other complaint besides these 2 is the fact that the stories that I did enjoy seemed like they belonged to a series, but when I looked up the author's website I found out that the stories were meant to stand alone.

The only one I did find that was part of a series besides of course the Larissa Ione story was "Vampsploitation" by Jaye Wells which is a prequel to her novel "Red-Headed Stepchild", a book I wasn't sure about before, but now fully intend to read.
